Laurie, along with two other girls were quickly taken through the busy strip club and shuttled to the living quarters which was behind a hidden door located in a large supply closet. The girls were locked inside and told not to come out and to remain completely quiet, “or else blood would be shed," including their own.
Making her way to her top bunk, the bed she'd recently been given since “graduating" from sleeping alone in the office, she curled up beneath her light blanket and quietly sobbed.
“Laurie, shh!" Bambi warned.
Unable to quiet the catches in her throat, Laurie stuck the blanket inside her mouth to stifle her sobs. She wanted so badly to be rescued but it wasn't likely to happen today. Life just wasn't fair.
