I slowly opened my eyes.
It was late, and the house was silent.
Selena must be asleep by now, I thought.
I threw off the covers and climbed out of bed, making my way to the living room.
Selena was fast asleep on the sofa, a blanket pulled over her.
I crouched down beside her, gazing at her sleeping face.
She was so beautiful.
To me, she was like a goddess from ancient legends.
She was so kind and beautiful. I knew I would never meet another girl like her in my lifetime.
And I would never let her leave me.
But how could I make her forgive me?
Even I didn't know the answer.
She was clearly not as happy as she used to be.
