Cedric's Perspective: Selena lifted her head, her gaze conflicted as she stared at me. She clenched her fists, like she'd finally made up her mind. At last, she nodded. "It was me," she said with a heavy sigh, closing her eyes. "When you were blind, I pretended to be Daisy and took care of you." So, it was her! I knew it! Damn it, how didn't I realize it sooner? If I had figured this out back then, things would've been so different. "But the only reason I did it was for the money," she added, her voice calm. She turned away, avoiding my eyes. "My father was drowning in debt. I had no choice but to help him, and the money was the only reason I agreed to deceive you. I'm sorry, Cedric." What? That can't be true! Were all the things she said, all the moments we shared, just lies?
