Selena stood frozen in place for a moment, a flush immediately spreading across her face. She turned her head, unable to look at Cedric's alluring eyes.
"I… I…! Good luck!"
With that, Selena angrily pulled away from Cedric's embrace and hurriedly made her way toward the door, almost tripping along the way.
It wasn't until she held onto the clean, white wall outside that the heat in her face began to fade, but her heart was still racing, her breath coming in quick gasps.
The image of Cedric's handsome face flashed in her mind, and she could still feel the lingering warmth of his lips, so close to her cheek just a moment ago. Selena instinctively touched her mouth, and with a sudden jolt, she realized what she'd just done, her lashes trembling.
