“Jamie wants to discuss it with you,” Mikey said.
“He does?” Ines said. Her heart was beating fast and her stomach tightened with nervousness.
“Yeah. He said there was some kind of mix-up.”
“Yes! I’m so sorry, but I met, uh, his cousin and I thought it was him and I gave him my script—”
“No, no, it’s fine. Mason cleared it up with Jamie.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. Jamie can meet you this weekend, but he’s on his way to San Francisco right now so you’re going to have to fly there tonight.”
“What?”
“Oh don’t worry about it, there’s a private plane picking him up. It’s leaving Van Nuys in a couple of hours, you need to be on it.”
