Everyone was on their phone.
As she walked into the living room accompanied by a maid who didn't speak much except to mutter “Wait here,” Ines recognized Tory Lester, an assistant to Arinze Tijani who starred in one of Piper's previous comedies. Ines met Tory during the shoot. The petite brunette stood in the corner speaking on her Bluetooth earpiece while typing on her phone with one hand. Her other hand held up a mug of coffee she raised in greeting when she spotted Ines.
