Did you eat? Ines stared at Mason’s text, her brows furrowed. Why did he keep texting her about eating? Was it some kind of obsession? Did he think she needed to put on weight? Or worse: did he have some sort of weird food fetish? Sighing, she texted back: Yes. How was your lunch? Fine. He didn’t seem to be in a chatty mood. She wondered why he’d even texted her in the first place. But before she could text back, he sent her another message. Don’t forget about dinner. And then two more texts later: I mean, you should eat dinner. I’m having dinner with some people tonight. Was this his way of telling her that he won't be seeing her anytime soon? She texted back: OK. After a long pause, she got another text: Also, I have to do something Wednesday night. She replied: You’re bus
