“Am not,” Ines said.
“She was flirting with me,” Mason said.
“I know.” She had to admit it was Serena who was putting the moves on him. But couldn’t he at least have put up a little more resistance? Been a little less handsome? Maybe turned down the charm a bit? Did he absolutely have to turn on every woman within a two-mile radius?
No, he did not. And yet he did anyway.

“Notice how I very valiantly resisted her advances?”

“Look, if we tell people you and I are together, then maybe women would stop flirting with me.”
