Heron’s POV As I looked into her eyes, I had an almost overwhelming desire to claim her as mine. I wanted to show the world that she was mine, that no one else could have her. But I knew I couldn't do that, and the thought made me feel frustrated and helpless. I knew that “marking” her would mean revealing my true nature, and I wasn't ready for that.
