Chapter 2“Whoa,” Augustus muttered softly while staring at the golden statue of the Reclining Buddha in amazement.
Based on the information in the brochure, the statue was nearly fifty feet tall and almost one hundred and fifty-one feet long. It was absolutely massive, and housed inside Wat Pho, a temple. Augustus had read about and seen photographs and videos of this statue online, but it felt so much more amazing to view it up close and personal. He slowly walked from one end of the room to the other so he could bask in its magnificence before exiting the temple.
