Summer Vacation

It was a sunny day, you can feel the fresh breeze coming from the sea shore at Italy port, the sound of ships in the port, people murmuring, and just a normal day for seafarers and an exciting day for travelers for it is a summer vacation.
Everyone was doing their thing, the passengers were taking pictures. As well as Clyde, a seafarer from the ship. He maintains the machinery of the ship together with his co workers and cadets, he also takes watch the passengers who board their ship.
Just one time that day, while guiding the passengers to their designated seats, A girl named Janelle was also about to board their ship as she's going to spend her vacation on her Aunt's place which is in Rome , as she was walking through the aisle of the passenger seats, Clyde who was about to pass too through the aisle unknowingly bump on her, as of that moment their eyes meet, a sudden breeze blew through the aisle that made Janelle's hair flip like it was on a slow motion. Clyde who was staring at her was mesmerized at the moment because what he just saw was a woman whom he was attracted to, puppy eyes, flowy hair, oval face , not so pointed nose but suits her, kissable lips, fresh looking face and also good smelling girl.Clyde from that moment thought he just met the woman of his dream. Meanwhile, that slow motion in that moment suddenly stopped as the ship was about to sail away from the port of Italy to Rome.
Janelle and Clyde both said sorry to each other and went on with their own life but unknowingly after hours of underway that they arrived at their destination which is Rome, the passengers are gone in their own ways. As the night eats the day, Clyde as usual was tasked to clean the facility of the passenger seats together with the cadets that he's supervising. As Clyde walks down the aisle, he suddenly stops and is stunned, he is reminded of what happened earlier about their interaction with the girl that he bumped into. He was interrupted by the other cadete named Winston.
Winston: Sir! You're thinking about the girl that you met earlier no?! HAHAHA well, I can't blame you, she's pretty naman kasi eh, 'kaw sir ha, lumalovelife, inlove na yan sya.
/*laughs as he teases Clyde who was obviously smiling unknowingly
Clyde:Ha? anong sinasabi mo?wala no,hindi ah, yung nakabanggaan ko kanina?sus wala yon
Winston: Nako sir! Wag mo nang ideny,nakausap ko nga sya kanina
Clyde:ha? talaga? anong sabe?
Wisnton:Oh huleee!!! Sya nga yung iniisip niya
Clyde:Hayst oo na lang kahit hinde,pero ano ngang sinabe?
Winston:Wala naman,nagtanong lang sya kanina kung araw araw ba nabyahe tong barko sagot ko oo
Clyde:Bakit daw?
Winston:Eh first time daw kasi niyang sumakay ng barko kaya gusto niya dito na lang sya ule sasakay pagka umuwi siya
Clyde:Ganun ba? yun lang?kelan daw?
Winston: Eh 1 week lang daw sya dito eh baka sa Sabado uuwi na yun,makikita mo na uli' siya sir hehehe
Clyde:Ah eh d mabuti /*smiled and realizes that he's smiling unknowingly ,mabuti kasi may pasahero tayo
Winston:Mabuti kasi makikita mo sya ulet HAHAHA
Clyde:tsk,halika na nga dito kunin mo yung walis madaming kalat sa ilalim ng upuan.Walisan mo para naman matuwa ako sayo
While Winston was cleaning under the passenger seat he suddenly saw an earring that seems to be a valuable gold. He picked it up and said "hala may nakawala ng hikaw" "gold ata to eh" he suddenly remembered about the girl who sat there and it was Janelle, she must have lost it during her travel .
Winston:Sir Clyde, tingnan mo 'to oh
Clyde turned his head towards Winston as he was unaware of what he was showing to him.
Clyde: Ano yan?
Winstons:Hikaw sir, gold ata, Dito ko napulot oh sa ilalim ng upuan nung babae kanina.
Clyde:Akin na,isasauli ko sa Sabado baka ibenta mo pa eh
Winston:Si sir naman oh, eto na,isasauli mo ha?!
Clyde took the heart shaped earring to give it to Janelle on Saturday.
The night came, Clyde was rolling on his bed unable to sleep, his mind just kept on thinking about the girl he bumped into .He took the earring and stared at it for a while. While questioning himself on why he is acting weird and thinking about what happened earlier, even though he meets a lot of passengers that are good looking but the one that he met earlier was way more different from the others. It might be because of love at first sight or just a feeling of amazement.
The night passed and it was a normal day for Clyde,for the passengers as well as the cadets and workers in that ship.
Saturday came and it was Janelle's time to go home in italy. As she packs her things and pasalubongs,her tita talked to her. Her Aunt's name was Rowena.
Aunt Rowena: Oh ija, mag iingat ka ha ,ikamusta mo na lang ako sa nanay mo,pasensya ka na walang maghahatid sa pinsan mo kaya hindi kita mahahatid, alam mo naman si tito mo maghapon yun sa trabaho.Kung nandito sana sya,ihahatid kita.
Janelle: Ayos lang po iyon tita, kaya ko naman po tsaka nandiyan naman po si Tito Vinz, papahatid na lang po ako sa kanya sa sakayan ng barko.
Aunt Rowena: Oh eto nga pala, mga pasalubong para sa mga kapatid at nanay mo
Janelle:Opo tita salamat po
Janelle was on her way to port taking home the memories that she experienced at her Aunt's town.
Meanwhile Clyde was unknowingly waiting for the girl so that he can give the earring back to her.
Janelle took the 5 pm schedule of travel for her to witness the sunset in Rome.
Clyde seems to be worrying because the time of departure is almost near. He picked up the earing from his pocket and stared at it ,curiously worrying if he can still give it back to her or will he still be able to see the girl.
He's also overthinking if he just missed her in the morning during their first departure. But as he was holding the earing the sunset ray glared at his eyes that made him squint his eyes.As he was squinting his eyes towards the sunset, he recognized a familiar figure at the tip of the ship towards the sunset. It was a girl staring at the sunset
as the air blew through her hair and smiling unknowingly.
Clyde recognized that girl so he climbed up the stairs towards her and tried to make a conversation with her.
/*Clyde approached Janelle
Clyde: Beautiful, right? It can take all your stress away
Janelle turned his head towards the guy who talked to her and then stared back to the sun setting and said.
Janelle:You're right, it's really beautiful
Clyde:Do you love sunset too?
Janelle:hmm I would die for it
Clyde:Die for it?
Janelle: took a glance at Clyde /*smiled
Clyde was stunned by Janelle's smile
and suddenly introduced himself and offered his hand to shake
Clyde: I'm Clyde nga pala, Clyde Rose
/*smiled
Janelle:Nice to meet you Clyde, I'm Janelle Brights. /*
Clyde:Nice to meet you too
As they smiled at each other, Clyde was called by his superiors
Clyde almost left Janelle but he suddenly thought about the earring in his pocket
so before he left, he reached for the earring and turned around and said
Clyde:ah oo nga pala,janelle, yung hikaw mo buti nakita kita, sige,sa susunod na lang ulit
Janelle:hikaw? ha sige,salamat
Clyde was able to give the earring to Janelle but She was confused.
