Chapter: 7 - Part 1
Day 5: The Devil's First Lesson
Series: Vyan x Niya
6:00 AM. Vyan Rathore Penthouse.
The door banged loudly. Niya opened it, rubbing her eyes. Vyan stood there. Black shirt, sleeves folded. No coffee in his hand - a file instead.
"Good morning, student," Vyan's voice was ice. "You're late. 5 minutes. The interest just increased."
Niya snatched the file. "What lesson? What interest?"
Vyan stepped inside. He threw a photo on the table. Niya's throat went dry.
Photo: Her younger brother Aryan. In a wheelchair. Outside the hospital.
"Lesson 1," Vyan whispered, leaning close to her ear. "How to destroy an enemy without touching them: Turn their weakness into your weapon."
Niya stepped back. "You... you did something to Aryan...?"
"Tch tch," Vyan wagged his finger. "I haven't done anything. Yet. That depends on how well you perform in today's class."Chapter: 7 - Part 2
Day 5: The Devil's First Lesson
He opened the file. Inside was a contract. And an address.
Mumbai's Biggest Business Rival: Mehta Industries.
"The task is simple," Vyan said. "Mehta's daughter's wedding is this evening. A 500 crore deal will be signed there. You'll go. And deliver a gift... from me."
Niya read the contract. Her hands trembled. The gift = Complete proof of Mehta's illegal company deals. A pen drive.
"This... this will destroy Mehta," Niya said. "He'll go to jail..."
"Exactly," Vyan smiled. But his eyes were cold. "And after this, Mehta's father - my biggest enemy - will be on his knees. Without me even touching him."
Niya threw the pen drive on the floor. "I won't do it. This is a sin!"Chapter: 7 - Part 3
Day 5: The Devil's First Lesson
In one second, Vyan grabbed her neck. Pinned her to the wall. But there was no pain in his grip... something else.
"Then get ready. By this evening, Aryan will have an accident. Brake failure. Poor guy in a wheelchair... oh wait, he already is."
Tears spilled from Niya's eyes. "You're an animal, Vyan."
"I'm the Devil, Niya," Vyan wiped her tears. His thumb was impossibly gentle. "And you're my best student. Now choose. Your brother's life... or a criminal's reputation?"
5:00 PM. Mehta Mansion. Wedding Hall.
Niya in a red lehenga. A gift box in her hands. The pen drive inside. Mehta's daughter was laughing across the room. Completely innocent.
Niya's hands were shaking. Then a voice came from behind.Chapter: 7 - Part 4
Day 5: The Devil's First Lesson
"Time to deliver the gift, Miss Niya?"
Vyan. Black tuxedo. Wine in his hand. But his eyes were only on Niya.
Niya lifted the gift box. Everyone's eyes on her. Victory in Vyan's smile.
But then Niya shocked everyone.
She opened the gift box. Took out the pen drive. And...
Dropped it into Vyan's wine glass.
Complete silence in the hall.
Vyan's smile vanished. Shock in his eyes for the first time.
Niya stepped closer. Spoke softly so only Vyan could hear:
"Learned Lesson 1, Professor. Destroy the enemy without touching them, right? So here. The proof isn't with the police now... it's in your blood."Chapter: 7 - Part 5
Day 5: The Devil's First Lesson
"You have 2 options now, Vyan Rathore. Either turn yourself in to the police... or..."
Niya grabbed his tie. And whispered in his ear:
"Or beg me for the antidote. Because that's not a pen drive... it's poison. Slow poison."
Vyan's jaw clenched. For the first time, Vyan Rathore was losing. And the one defeating him was a 24-year-old girl.
"Now the interest," Niya smiled. "Just got higher, Professor Vyan. Much higher."
Vyan stared at the wine glass. The pen drive sinking in the wine. But was it really poison? Or Niya's biggest bluff?
And far away, Aryan's doctor was on the phone. "Sir... the patient's operation was successful. But Mr. Vyan said if Niya doesn't do the job then..."
Cliffhanger: Will Vyan really kill Aryan? Did Niya win or lose?
