Aeris’s pov My sudden entrance jolted the elders, making them rise from their seats in disbelief. I could see the flicker of shock cross their faces as they processed my defiance. They had expected me to leave quietly after they denied my request, but I had learned the hard way that when things don’t work the way you want, sometimes you have to turn the table upside down. “I can’t believe that the very elders who are supposed to guide and protect this kingdom are ignoring the situation,” I said, my voice rising with emotion I could no longer suppress. "Instead of discussing these pressing matters with me, you sit here chatting idly while Mistefell crumbles!" The words came out harsher than I intended, but I no longer cared.
