Homecoming

Lisa POV The bonding ceremony was wonderful.  I didn’t think being bonded to Gray would have such an impact on me.  The Stirling pack was so supportive of our union.  Now that Gray and I were fully bonded we planned to go to my palace and talk to my father. He would have to end the arranged marriage now. I rolled over to see my sleeping mate. His hair had fallen over his right eye making him look so sexy. “Are you just going to stare at me all morning?” He said sleepily. I giggled being caught staring at his beauty. “No, I am just admiring how handsome my mate is. Can I not admire you?” “Yes, if you allow me to admire you.” He said rolling on top of me putting most of his weight on his arms.  Gray started kissing me on my neck and licked his mark. Then trailed several kisses down my neck. Next he planted kisses on my chest and continued to kiss me down to my navel.  I moaned in the pleasure that he was giving me.  Gray lifted his head with a sly grin on his face before he buried his head between my legs. I instantly arched my back from the pleasure, running my fingers through Gray’s hair. I gave a little tug to inform him that I was close to orgasming. He held my thighs as my body jerked until it went limp. Gray picked up my body and carried me to the shower. He turned on the water and began to wash me as I washed him. We were in there for some time before we turned off the water and dried off.  “Today we go to see my parents. I am starting to get nervous. I don’t know what is going to happen. I hope everyone loves you as much as I love you.” I said unsure. “Everything is going to be fine. We can bring some of the betas in the event something jumps off to protect…” Gray said trailing off. He had a look of concern on his face.  I knew what he meant because of what the witch had said, but I didn't want to think about that.  “If anything happened to you, I would die along with you.” I whispered. I went to the closet to find something to wear. I chose a flower dress that came below the knees with quarter length sleeves. Gray chose blue slacks with a white button down shirt.  Our clothes complimented each other.   “I have a few meetings before we leave this afternoon. I should have everything wrapped up around three.” He stated. “Okay, I will let my brother know of our coming so he can prepare the bond ceremony with our pack.” I said happily. I called my brother and let him know the details.  The day was uneventful.  I spent most of my time with Queen Sierra. Now that I was Princess of the Stirling pack, I had certain duties that I had to fulfill. During lunch I received a mind link from Gray. He was summoned to a meeting with the counsel. It has something to do with rogue vampires and a pack of rogue werewolves. He apologized profusely but it still didn’t make me feel any better. He told me to go on without him, and he would meet me in a few days. I decided to leave early, so I called for a driver to take me home.  The hour drive made me feel antsy yet excited to see my family.  The car pulled up to the front of the palace.  The driver opened the door. I got out and stood.  I could feel the link to my pack. I slowly walked up the stone stairs to the marble door, with my keys in my hand, I took a deep breath and opened the door. I went through the door that led to the foyer. As I was about to walk down the corridor to my room. My mother and brother came down the corridor to greet me. My mother hugged me with tears in her eyes and my brother hugged us both. “I’m so happy you are home. I have missed you so much.  Wait! Where is your mate?” My mother said between sobs. “The counsel summoned him, but he will be here in a few days.” I said hopefully. “You are absolutely glowing sis. I can tell that you are truly happy.” Lance stated. “I am. He is so wonderful. I couldn’t ask for a better mate.” I said, showing his mark. At that very moment my father chose to come into the foyer. Everyone turned in his direction. He had a look of anger on his face. He was instantly at my side grabbing my neck. “What have you done?” He growled. I snatched away from him. I was not going to let him intimidate me. “I found my mate and we are bonded.” I confidently said with my head held high.  “Do you think a mark is going to stop this union between you and Prince Collin.” My father laughed. We all stood there in the foyer not saying anything. The silence was interrupted by my phone ringing.  The caller id said private. I answered to find that it was Collin asking me on a date.  I tried to tell him no, when my father who was listening threatened to harm Gray if I didn’t go along.  Reluctantly I said yes. The tears welled up in my eyes but I refused to let them fall.  “Princess, stop making this any harder for yourself.  I am the KING and you will not go against me.” He growled for everyone to hear. "This was not the homecoming I expected." I aimlessly walked to my room.
