The Plan

Lance POV I received a phone call from Lisa early in the morning.  “Hi Lance.” “Lisa,” I say, shocked to hear her voice. “Lance, I found my mate. His name is Prince Gray. He is so wonderful.  Our bonding ceremony is in two days.  I am taking his mark.” Lisa said excitedly. “Wow. I’m happy for you.  Wait! This might be what we need to stop the wedding.” I say thinking. “You think father will stop the wedding if I am bonded to another.” “I need to find out. Give me a day, but go on with the ceremony.” “But I want you here. I miss you so much.” “I miss you too, but I don’t want anyone to find you until you complete the bonding.”   We talked a little while longer before we hung up.  I needed to find a witch who had information about werewolves and bonding.  Father used to go to a witch deep in the woods. I headed to the pack house to find out who could direct me to the witch.  I found out she lived in a cave in the deepest, darkest part of the Bur Oak woods. It didn’t matter what part of the day you went, it was dark.  I took my three strongest pack members.  We drove to the edge of Bur Oak and got out of the car. It was mid afternoon and the woods were pitch black. “Alright stay close.  These woods are dark and who knows what can be lurking in the trees.” I said to my pack. We began walking, allowing our eyes to adjust to the darkness. We walked for what it seemed for hours yet it was only minutes. Finally, we made it to the cave. I could see a light shining inside and movement. Before we reached the opening, the witch walked out to meet us.  “What do you want?” She asked. “I need some information if a bonding can be broken.” I said.  My three pack member’s wolves were on alert and ready to shift at any moment to protect me. I mind linked them to relax. She motioned for us to come inside the cave and take a seat.  My pack members stood as I took a seat at the table. She went to the shelf and grabbed a thick book. She sat down at the table and opened the book thumbing through the pages. Then took her finger to scan the page for what she was looking for. “A bond can’t be broken if the wolf has been marked, however if the wolf is killed then the bond is broken. Another way is if the wolf is rejected.” I see many things that are to come.  You are at the center.  I can’t tell you anymore.”   “Thank you for the information.”  I said, rising from my seat.  I motioned for my members to follow me. We walked quickly back to the car following the trail we marked. We stood for a moment to give our eyes time to adjust to the sunlight before driving to the pack house. I pondered what the witch said regarding me. What did I have to do with anything? “Say nothing of where we went and the information we received.”  “We won’t.” Steve said, looking at the other two.  It didn’t take long to get to the pack house. I headed in the direction of the palace.  I needed to talk to my mother and find out if my father was making any moves to find Lisa.  I found my mother in the sunroom reading a book. I sat down next to her to inquire, but she already knew what I was about to ask. “He isn’t looking for her. He’s hoping that you bring her home.  It’s been over two weeks. When is your sister coming home?  She asked with a desperate look in her eye. “I talked to her this morning.  Give me two days.” “That makes me so happy.” My mother hugged me with joy.  I got up from my seat and went to my room.  I tried dialing the number back that said private.  It gave a busy signal.  I needed to begin my plan to bring Lisa home and her mate after the bonding ceremony. Lisa would need to have her mate’s mark on her neck and his pack accepting her to make the bond strong and unbreakable. Then we would need to do a private bonding of our pack uniting our kingdoms. I will have Lisa introduce Prince Gray to our father. Our father would have to call off the marriage cause Lisa can’t be bonded to two princes.  I will warn Prince Gray of what the witch said, so he can prepare. I will prepare my pack as well to support Lisa.  I didn’t get to think about it long before my phone was ringing. “Hello, Lisa.” “Hey brother. I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to see if you found out anything.” “I went to see a witch and if you get bonded and his pack accepts you then the bond can’t be broken unless…” I say trailing off. “Unless what?” Lisa says excitedly “Unless he is killed or he rejects you.” I stated. She gasped not knowing what else to say.  I could feel her emotions through the phone. “If he died, I would die with him.” She said softly. I told her that I was going to arrange a private bonding with our pack, when she arrived to unite both kingdoms.  I also told her to tell everything to Gray so that he was prepared. We said our goodbyes and the plan was in motion.
