The Potion

Collin POV I arranged to have Lisa and I be in a private dining room.  I wanted to make sure that we weren’t disturb by anyone.  I called ahead and told the chef what foods I wanted prepared.  I made sure they were the ones that Lisa liked. I couldn’t get her to talk in the car, but she did  let her guard down a little at the dining table. She apologized for her attitude. She was upset that her father was making her go out with me.  She let me know that she had been marked, and that she could not marry me. I offered her a glass of red wine, but she refused. I had to put the second part of my plan in motion.  I had to figure out how to get the potion into her wine glass.  The waiter came with our first course. He poured the wine into the glasses.  I made a good choice with the stuffed mushrooms. Lisa had a satisfied look on her face, after every bite she took. I finally got my opportunity to put the potion into her wine, when she left the table.  She came back calm so I decided to make a toast. “Let’s make a toast to getting  to know each other,” I said. Lisa quickly said no. I had to think quickly to get her to drink the wine. “Okay, to friendship.” She gave a side head nod and we clinked wine glasses. She only took a sip of the wine. I needed her to drink the whole glass to get the full effect. I could tell that the potion was affecting her. “Maybe if you drink more wine.” “I don’t need wine. I need to go home. I feel dizzy, and I have a headache,” she said, trying to stand up. I quickly came to her side to hold her up before she fell.  The witch didn’t say anything about side effects.  She just said she needed to drink the whole potion. Then it happened. Lisa turned to me and told me she loved me. My plan worked.  “My love, I will take you home,” I uttered. “You are so wonderful to me.  I couldn’t ask for a better mate,” Lisa said dreamily. I guided us through the restaurant to the car. I had to make sure she was under the spell.  I placed Lisa in the passenger seat and fastened her seat belt. Before I closed the door, I leaned down and placed a small kiss on her pink lips. “Hmm. Your lips are so soft. They feel like pillows,” she snickered. I smiled and closed the door. I walked around the car to the driver's side. I opened the door and slided behind the wheel.  Lisa sat with a smile on her face all the way back to the palace.  Once we arrived at the palace, Lisa and I were greeted by her parents. King Odin was pleased to see Lisa clinging to my arm. Queen Una was shocked to say the least. Lisa tried to walk but found herself stumbling. Her mother assisted her to keep her from falling. “What is wrong with her?” Queen Una asked. “She had too much to drink.” I said. “My head hurts. Honey, could you please help me to my room.” Lisa said sweetly. “Honey? Why are you calling him that, Lisa? You are with Prince Gray.” said Queen Una confusedly.   King Odin just stood there with a huge grin on his face not saying a word.  He had his hands clasped in front of him. “Who? Oh, yeah Gray.” Lisa said, grabbing her head in pain. She looked like she was trying to remember. I quickly went to Lisa’s side and took her from her mother.  I helped her to her room. She fell upon her bed still holding her head. Lance walked in inquiring what was wrong with Lisa.  “She has a headache.” I stated. Lance went to her dressing table and picked up a bottle. Then he went to the bathroom and came back with a cup of water.  I helped Lance sit Lisa up so she could take the medicine. Lance tucked her in bed and before we left her room Lisa told me she loved me. Lance’s head quickly turned to look at me with an angry face.  “You did something.” Lance growled.  “I haven’t done anything.  Could it be that she sees how charming I am.” I said slyly. “No, she came here today excited about being with Gray and now she is telling you she loves you. You did something, and I will find out what it is.” Lance said, starting down the hallway. I followed behind him until I ran into King Odin. He was happy that Lisa and I were getting along and hopefully it will lead to our marriage. Next, to put the rest of my plan in motion.
