William repressed a sigh and placed his morning coffee on the side table as the doors to his rooms burst open. Elite poured into his rooms. It was morning, at least, but surely disasters that needed his attention could wait until he’d at least finished his breakfast. He frowned as Marcus bowed with an uncharacteristic expression of relief as he looked at him.
“I’m sorry to interrupt, Your Highness, but we needed to check you were safe.”
“Why wouldn’t I be safe?”
