After The Attack On The Queen -
Kevin looked down and growled in the back of his throat, seeing the prince curled up near the cooling body of his mother. He could hear the trumpets blare in the distance. The guard had been turned out, and he had no doubt that they were coming to find the queen, and find her they would. He desperately wanted to kill the boy.
Most of the members of the Order, however, had fled once the Sundered had killed the queen. He doubted they’d believed the prince would survive the encounter. He watched in disbelief as the members of the Order who’d stayed behind crept into the clearing, cleaning up after themselves, removing the arrows. Kevin felt his lips curl in contempt.
