Jade's POV:

I wake up to a familiar room that isn't mine. Vega's. I turn around to see her peacefully sleeping with her eyebrows slightly dipped. I brush a few strands of hair away from her face and kiss her forehead before quietly getting up. I could barely sleep last night, because of the guilt that was eating away at me.

Yesterday. One of the craziest days I've ever had. I've never comforted and hurt someone so much in the same day. I've never even hurt Beck that much. This morning, when Vega woke up because of the cut that I made.. I couldn't help but to feel guilty about it. I just.. can't control my anger at times. She did punch me.. maybe not intentionally.. but still, nobody punches Jade West and gets away with it.

You were a bit harsh though, Jade. Even for you.

Ugh. I gotta make it up to her somehow. I go downstairs to the kitchen and decide to make her breakfast this time.

I decide to make some eggs and bacon, and I make some coffee for myself while I'm at it. When I'm finished cooking, I check the time and see that it's 8:30.

I might as well wake up Vega before the food gets cold. I'm gonna try be on my best behaviour today. I tried telling myself that yesterday.. but well.. you know.. that didn't exactly work out.

I head back to Vega's room to see her still sleeping. She really does look beautiful, even when she's sleeping.

Huh? Where the hell did that come from?

I walk up to Vega and tuck her hair behind her ear. I couldn't resist the urge to kiss her, so I did, on the side of her face. She shifts a little, before slowly opening her eyes and looking up at me.

Wow. I sure have been kissing Vega a lot more than usual.

"Morning gorgeous" I tell her.

She looks exhausted, but still flashes me a smile along with a slight blush.

"Morning" she says in her raspy, morning voice.

Woah. That was sexy as f**k.

Ugh Jade. What is wrong with you?

"Come on. I made breakfast and we don't want it to get cold now, do we?" She looks at me with a surprised look on her face, and I couldn't help but chuckle at how cute she is.

"You.. made breakfast?" She asks.

"Yup so get your ass up coz I'm hungry" I tell her while laughing at her shocked face.

We walk down to the kitchen and I hand her the plate, which she accepts quite eagerly.

We eat our food in silence again, and it feels exactly like yesterday. Except, I had to ruin it by making her cry.

"So.." Vega starts. "Why'd you make me breakfast?" She says, raising an eyebrow at me.

"Does it matter?" I mumble. I don't wanna admit that I felt bad after yesterday, so hopefully she can just drop it.

"Yup" she says popping her 'p'.

Ugh. Great.

"I made breakfast.. because.. I might've felt a bit guilty for yesterday" I mumbled the last part, not looking at her.

I thought maybe she didn't hear it, but I was wrong because when I look up at her, she has a huge grin on her face.

I groan. Why didn't I just make up something? I get up, to clean my plate and to avoid her before I blurt out anything else, but I'm stopped when Vega runs to stand in front of me.

I just look at her confused, and wait for her to move.

"Thanks Jade." She tells me and kisses my cheek. Instantly, after her lips touch my cheek, it goes red and I try to hide my face from her.

She giggles and then goes back to grab her plate too.

Get it together Jade. It's just a kiss on the cheek.

"So what's the plan for today? Wanna go out or stay here?" She asks. I wasn't expecting her to forgive me so quickly. I did hurt her a lot. But then again, Vega is one for forgiving easily.

I smile at her enthusiasm. "Stay here. I'm too lazy to go back home and get changed." I tell her, and she lightly laughs at that.

"Kay. We can watch a movie or two, and practice some scenes to make us look believable." She says with a chuckle.

Oh yeah! I forgot about our whole deal.

"Sounds good. What should we do first?"

"Let's practice in the living room" she says, before walking off, and I follow her.

I start to get nervous and I have no clue why. It's only acting. What's the worst that could happen?

We talk about the simple stuff that we could do to make us look like a couple. Stuff like, calling each other pet names, walking each other to class, holding each other's hands.

And I don't know why, but I don't feel repulsed by the idea of doing all these things with Vega, anymore. Even though, it's just acting, it doesn't sound that bad.

"So how are we gonna tell our friends?" Vega asks.

"Maybe we should do it in the morning or at lunch. When everyone's together" I tell her.

She nods before thinking about it some more.

"How's Beck going to react?" She asks me, with a sudden sad tone.

"I don't know. He'll be pretty upset, and maybe a little mad at me, but he's a nice guy. He won't get too mad.. I hope" I try to reassure her.

"Kay Kay" she responds, still a bit unsure.

After a moment of a comfortable silence, Vega speaks up again.

"Wanna practice kissing?" She bluntly asks, and I literally choke on air.

Who the chiz straight up asks that? Obviously Vega.

She walks over to me and pats my back a couple of times. Once my coughs have died down, I look into her eyes, which are full of concern.

"You okay?" She asks.

"Yeah" I say, still coughing a little.

"So?" She asks, and I realise she's asking if we could practice kissing.

I don't trust my voice, so I nod my head and after a few seconds of staring into each other's eyes, we both start to lean in.

Holy chiz. I'm about to kiss Tori Vega. This is so weird.

When we're a couple inches away from each other, I stop and look into her eyes, silently asking if she's sure she wants to do this. Instead, she just closes her eyes and cups my cheeks with her hands.

Time around us seemed to freeze, and then I felt the sweetest pair of lips on mine. It was an amazing feeling. A rush of emotions went through my body, and I quickly responded to her kiss. My hands grabbed her waist, pulling her closer to me. We kissed each other for a few seconds, until Vega pulled away, which causes me to grunt in return.

Aw. It was only starting to get good. Vega's a really good kisser.

"That was pretty good and believable, right?" She asks me.

Right. The kiss was for our fake relationship. Obviously Jade. Duh.

I stare at her, and then look down at her lips. They're so soft and cherry-flavoured.

Dam it. I'm craving more Vega kisses. Even Beck never made me feel this desperate for his kisses. Huh. I wonder if that means anything.

Nah. I love Beck.

"Jade?" Vega's voice interrupts me, and I realise I zoned out.

"Actually Vega, if we want people to believe that you and I are a couple, we'll have to make it look a lot more passionate" I tell her with a roll of my eyes, trying not to sound too desperate for another kiss.

She looks a bit confused but shrugs it off before grabbing my face and kissing me with a lot more passion than before. She starts to lick my bottom lip, begging for entrance, which I grant almost immediately. Our tongues fight for dominance, and then Vega nips my bottom lip, causing me to moan.

Woah. Vega sure does know how to use her tongue.

I'm about to do the same to her, but she pulls away again.

Whyyyy

"How was that?" She smirks, knowing that I want more.

"Meh. It was better but still not perfect yet. Maybe we should try it again." I quickly say before leaning in to try and kiss her again, but she stops me by putting her finger up to my lips.

Prude.

"We need to keep practising ways to seem like a couple Jade" she tells me with a smile.

"But this is practising. Kissing is a thing couples do Vega" I roll my eyes at her.

"Well I think we're pretty good at kissing, so let's move on to things we aren't so good at" she says. I groan and sit up straight, still staring at Vega's lips.

"Like?" I ask her.

"Like complimenting each other, and not scowling at each other" she tells me.

She's got a point. Couples don't do that.

"Ugh okay fine. I'll try not to be rude to you anymore, no matter how annoying you are" I tell her, while rolling my eyes, again.

"Hey! I'm not annoying" she says while crossing her arms over her chest, and pouting.

I laugh at how adorable she can be, and soon, she laughs along with me when she realises that she looks like a little child.

"So apart from that, is there anything else we're missing?" I ask her.

She puts on her cute thinking face for a second before looking back at me.

"How do we make Beck jealous, without making it too obvious?" She asks.

"We just act normal like any other couple. If we can prove to everyone that we're a couple, then he'll see it too."

She nods her head.

"Anything else?" I ask her.

She thinks about it some more, but then shakes her head.

Great.

"Kay, let's practice some more kissing" I tell her, trying to hide the excitement in my voice.

Vega's kisses are probably the only good thing about her. I'm actually looking forward to school for once.

"Do we have to?" She whines.

"Yes, so get your ass over here" I demand.

She does so without hesitation, and I quickly wrap an arm around her neck and attach my lips to hers. Vega grabs my ass for a split second before resting her hands on my hips.

We make out for a couple of minutes and I swear I can do this forever.

God, I'm addicted to Vega kisses.

I'm about to deepen the kiss until we're interrupted by a phone call. Vega pulls back quickly, slightly embarrassed that our 'practice session' turned out into a full make out session. I, on the otherhand, immediately miss her lips, and silently growl at the caller.

She grabs her phone and smiles when she sees who it is.

"Hey Ry! What's up?" She says, excitedly.

Ryan!? Oh my God! For f**k's sake!!

I swear I'm gonna kill this chick. Seriously!? We're having a make out session one second, and the next she's talking to Ryan. Ugh. f**k him. And f**k her. f**k everything.

"Aww I'm sorry I didn't call you back Ry. I forgot" she says sheepishly.

Yeah she forgot, coz she was with me!

She talks to Ryan a bit more and I clench my fists when she laughs at something he says.

How come she never f*****g laughs like that when I'm around her!?

After what feels like forever, she finally hangs up the phone. But not without saying an "I love you" to Ryan.

I already hate that dude, and I haven't even met him.

I've got a huge scowl on my face when Vega turns around to look at me.

"Sorry. We're just really good friends, and we can talk for days" she says with a smile. I glare at her. The first time today. I can't help it. I naturally get jealous very easily.

I start walking towards her, my glare still on my face.

"Jade" she starts, nervously. "Did I do something wrong?" She quietly asks.

That's it, I can't take her stupidity and her obliviousness anymore!

"Yes Vega! You f*****g did!!" I all but shout at her, causing her to flinch.

"Jade.." she says calmly, but I don't let her finish. I keep walking up to her.

"Have you already forgotten about our f*****g rules Vega!? You can't f*****g flirt with anyone when you're with me!!" I yell at her, and I realise that I'm only inches away from her face.

I expect Vega to apologise or to look sad at least, but instead she has a determined look on her face.

"One, we're not a couple until tomorrow so the rules don't apply yet." She says simply.

The nerve of this girl. Does she want to get hurt or something!?

"Two, I've told you before that Ryan's my best friend and that we're close" she continues.

She's making me sooo f*****g mad. She's gonna pay for acting like a f*****g smart ass.

"And three.. Jade, when we're fake dating, I'm not going to play as your little puppet kay? I'm my own person, and I can do whatever I want" she finishes with a slight bit of annoyance.

I.. cannot believe.. that Vega f*****g said that to my f*****g face!!

"One" I say while backing her up. "I don't give a s**t about whether we're an official couple today or tomorrow. Whatever I say goes." I growl at her. "Two, you and Ryan act wayy closer than friends. Which looks like flirting to others" I then back her into a counter, giving her no space to go. Vega sure does look nervous now.

Good. She deserves it.

"And three, when you're in this relationship, you listen to whatever the f**k I say! If not, then there will be consequences.." I whisper the last line, while touching her cut lightly.

"You wouldn't.." Vega says, getting more and more nervous.

Seriously? I was nice to her for one day, and she thinks I won't do anything to her.

I don't say anything. Instead, I dig my nails into her cut, which causes her to gasp and whimper.

"Ow Jade!!" She says, before pushing me away from her, and holding her cut.

I smirk. "What's wrong baby?" I say with a sinister smile.

So much for being nice to her Jade.

Vega looks like a lost puppy right now. She must've been pretty confident that I wouldn't do anything to her. But now.. she just shakes her head at me before grabbing a cloth to dab her shoulder again. That's when I notice the blood on her shoulder. My nails must've reopened the wound.

Oh well. It'll teach her a lesson.

"Just when I thought you were being nice to me" she mutters under her breath. I ignore her and walk back to the couch, thinking about how f****d up I am.

Tori's POV:

Ugh. Freaking Jade. She was being so nice to me, and I actually had a good time with her. I forgot about all of the bad things she's done to me. But she just had to ruin it again, didn't she?

At least I tried to stand up for myself this time. Even though it didn't work, I still showed her that I'm not entirely afraid of her.

I sigh as I finish up cleaning my cut. I grab the first aid kit from the shelf, and put on a plaster. I make a mental note to stop wearing clothes that reveal too much skin when I'm around Jade.

As I walk back to the couch, Jade's texting someone on her phone.

I decide to ignore her for a bit, so I grab the remote control and watch TV.

We don't talk for about half an hour, and I'm honestly really happy about it. I prefer it a lot more when we don't talk. That way she can't hurt me.

However, I spoke way too soon because Jade clears her throat, making me force myself to look up at her. She doesn't say anything, instead she just stares back.

"What" I snap.

A look of hurt flashes across her face and she shakes her head, muttering "nothing".

Seriously? She's hurt!? Unbelievable.

I'm so engrossed in my programme, that I don't even notice Jade grab the remote and switch the TV off.

"Hey! I was watching that."

"We need to talk" she says.

I cross my arms over my chest and huff. This girl just can't give me a break.

"Vega?" She continues.

Subconsciously, I hear her, but I'm still really focused on my thoughts.

Why the chiz did she pick me to be her fake girlfriend? I mean outta all the people she could've picked. It just had to be me.

My thoughts are interrupted when Jade sits on my lap.

When did she get here?

Now that Jade's straddling me, I really have no other place to look, but at her. She places both her hands on my shoulders, and I visibly shudder.

Is she gonna hurt me again for ignoring her?

"Vega?" She says again, and I give in. So I look her in the eyes. I'm showing her the hurt in my eyes. I'm letting her see how I feel about her. How she's torturing me. It's all pretty evident in my eyes. And I know she got the message.

When she looks back into my eyes, her grip loosens. Her eyebrows furrow, and she closes her eyes.

I wait for her to say something. Anything. But she doesn't. She just stays on my lap, face merely inches away.

After what feels like hours, she opens her eyes and gets off my lap. She walks up to get her bag and she doesn't even look at me.

What is she doing now?

The sound of keys bring me back to reality, and I realise she's going home.

However, this time I don't stop her. I let her go, because I want her to. When she opens the front door, she turns around to look at me. I stare back at her, and before I know it, she's gone.

Finally. Peace and quiet. I stay in my position for a while longer, thinking about Jade. But then I force myself to go to my room to study, since I've got a pop quiz tomorrow.

I must've been studying for a long time because the next thing I heard was the sound of my alarm clock, signalling that it was time to get ready for school.

I groan thinking about how I must act from now on. I'm kinda glad Jade and I went over some situations yesterday. It makes today a lot easier. The first couple of days are definitely gonna be the hardest, since we gotta try get people to believe that we're a thing, bearing in mind that Jade and I used to hate each other. But afterwards, it should be a piece of cake.

I decide to wear a long sleeve pink jumper, along with some skinny jeans. It is wayyy too hot to wear a jumper, but it's the only thing I could find that could cover up my cut. The last thing I need is questions on how I got it. I leave my hair down, and put on some light make up. I grab all my books and skip breakfast coz I'm running a little late.

Thank God, I got my driver's license last summer. It's pretty embarrassing to not have a license when you're my age. I hop in my car and drive off to school.

Once I park my car at the school, I take a deep breath.

Come one Tori. You can do this.

I get out of the car and am greeted by a couple of people. I walk towards my locker, and so far I haven't seen any of my friends yet. Not even Jade. I grab my books out of my locker, while mindlessly thinking about how dreadful today's gonna be.

Just as I close my locker, I hear a high pitched voice. That voice could only belong to one person, and I slightly smile for the first time this morning.

"Toriiii!" Cat squeals as she runs up to hug me tight.

Aww. She's so cute sometimes.

"Hey Cat!" I say, while returning her hug.

This is a regular Monday morning thing. Even though it's only been two days since Cat's seen any of us, she hugs us as if it's been years. It's really sweet actually.

Just then we hear the bell ring so we both start walking to our first class with Sikowitz. Cat tells me a story about her strange brother, and I try to listen fully. But really, my mind is still on Jade. I wonder if she's mad at me from yesterday. I mean, I didn't even do anything.. but it's Jade. She'll find someway to pin the blame on me.

We reach our class and Cat goes to hug everyone else. I greet André, Beck and Robbie and we talk a bit until Sikowitz gets here.

Hmm. Where's Jade?

Just as I think that, Jade stomps in with a scowl on her face, like usual. Cat runs over to hug Jade, but Jade just pushes her to the ground. Cat doesn't seem to mind though, and goes off to hug other people.

That girl really is one of a kind.

"Hey Jade" I say to her, trying really hard to sound chirpy like I usually would, but there's a strain on my voice when I look at her.

André and Robbie start to talk to her as well and that's when I notice how silent Beck has been. He still must be pretty upset from the break up, which makes me feel super guilty for doing this to him. It's not like I really have a choice.

Jade and I sit beside each other when class starts which already causes everyone to look at us with shocked faces.

She even puts her hand on my thigh as she's talking and laughing with me, which causes everyone to gasp. I look over at Beck, and all I can see is hurt and confusion flashing all over his face.

I try to pay attention in class, but my mind keeps wandering off, and soon the bell rings, making everyone get up to go to their next class. 

Pop quiz time.

I'm not really that nervous for this quiz. I studied a lot last night and I'm pretty confident.

By the end of the class, I was feeling really happy. Everything in the quiz went perfect and I got it finished right on time.

I go to my locker to put back my books and I head to the Grub Truck.

This is it. I'm gonna tell all of my friends that I'm dating Jade.

I take my food and sit down at our usual table. Everyone's already there and I notice how far away Beck and Jade are sitting. I decide to sit beside Jade, who doesn't even look slightly nervous.

"So Tor, Jade tells us that you two have something to say to us?" André says casually.

"Um yeah" I respond and look at Jade, who's staring back at me.

"So what's up?" Robbie asks, and everyone stares at me.

Ugh, why do I have to be the one who says it?

"This might be a little strange and random to hear.. but Jade and I.. are.. dating." I hesitantly say and everyone's jaw drops.

They all look at Jade for confirmation, and she simply holds my hand on the table and kisses the back of it.

"That's hot" Rex says, interrupting the silence.

I roll my eyes at the blunt response but I wait for everyone else's reaction.

"I always thought you two would've made a great couple!" Cat squeals as she gets up to engulf us into a big hug.

"Thanks Cat" I quietly tell her. She just smiles back at me.

"Yeah Tori, I'm your best friend and I'm happy for you two" André says with a smile.

I smile back at him and mouth him a thanks.

"Wait, I thought you hated each other?" Robbie asks.

"Well yeah we did.. but we became friends after the summer project that Sikowitz made us do. Jade hung out at my place a lot, and I guess we just clicked. We only got together on Saturday though" I casually tell them, as if I hadn't practised saying that a dozen times the night before.

"Makes sense. Love is a pretty complicated subject. Opposites really do attract I guess. Ooo like Rex and I" Robbie says.

"Dude. I ain't attracted to you, and that says a lot to be rejected by a puppet" Rex butts in and we all laugh. Except Beck. He's been super quiet.

He's not looking at us anymore. He's looking down at his food, and he looks absolutely heartbroken.

Oh my God, whyyy did I agree to this?

He looks up at me, and simply says congrats before getting up and leaving. I can't say he was mad at me. He just looked really shocked and upset. I sigh and look at Jade, who's just eating her food, as if none of this ever happened.

Well. At least the hard part's over.

The rest of lunch goes smoothly as our friends ask us how and when we got together. It was pretty easy to answer their questions as Jade and I had practised these situations a lot yesterday.

By the end of lunch, Jade kisses me goodbye on my lips, and I hear a few wolf whistles but I ignore them.

The rest of the day flies by. I go to my locker to grab my final set of books to take home, before shutting it. Just as I'm about to leave, I hear my name being called.

I turn around and it's Andre along with the rest of the group.. except Jade.

Where does she keep disappearing off to?

"Hey Tor, we were gonna go to Freezy Queen after school. Wanna come with?" he asks me.

I wasn't really going to do anything at home anyways so I nod my head and follow them out the door. I shoot Jade a quick text asking her if she wants to come with us. We haven't talked since lunch and for once I actually want her to be with me. Mostly because I know it's gonna be pretty awkward between Beck and I today. She saw my text, but doesn't bother to respond ad I roll my eyes.

Typical.

We all drive off to Freezy Queen, which is pretty close to our school. Only about a 5 minute drive. We all sit down at a table and order some ice cream while making small talk. Everyone surely must've noticed the awkward tension between Beck and I, but thankfully no one mentioned Jade yet.

Cat starts talking about a strange dream she had last night, which gets pretty weird, until Beck finally speaks up.

"Hey Tori, can we talk outside for a sec?" he asks sweetly. He seriously is a super nice guy. Even though he's absolutely heartbroken, he still won't lash out at me. And that just makes me feel a hundred times more guilty.

"Sure. We'll be right back guys" I tell everyone, and we both walk outside.

He stays quiet, probably unsure on how to start. The guilt is literally eating up at me, and I burst.

"I'm so sorry Beck. I didn't mean to hurt you like this, it's just Jade and I hit it off pretty well.. and.. I don't know how to tell you how sorry I am. But looking at your hurt face is making me seriously hate myself and what I'm doing to you. I really like Jade, but I care about you too and I'm probably the worst friend ever-"

"Tori" he says cutting off my ramble with a chuckle.

Huh?

"I'm not mad at you" he softly says.

"Y-you're not?" I ask him, shocked.

He shakes his head.

"I had a feeling Jade was starting to lose interest in me for a while now. Her love for me gradually changed into a more brotherly-love type of thing, and I knew that we weren't gonna last much longer. That's the reason why I let her dump me last week. That's why I walked away without fighting for her. But I think.. maybe you're good for her Tori. As much as I tried to help Jade become a better person, I couldn't, and she'd usually end up hurting me or others. I feel like you can change her Tori. And if Jade's happy.. then I guess I am too" he says, making me super surprised by his calmness and rational thinking.

"Beck, I'm still really sorry that I did this to you. You really are the best guy a girl could ask for, and I'm certain you'll find someone who's perfect for you and treats you right" I tell him sincerely with a small smile.

"Thanks Tori. Just remember.. Jade.. she's been hurt and cheated on a couple of times before, and that's why she gets super jealous and mad very easily. She's scared that she'll be cheated on again, and that's one of the main reasons as to why we broke up. It gets pretty frustrating. I'm just hoping that you never see her when she's super mad. She can get.. violent, and nobody can calm her down then." He trails off.

Yup. That's for sure. But wait.. Jade was cheated on and hurt before. Huh. That explains a lot.

Then it hits me. If Beck doesn't want Jade back.. then I'm stuck being her fake girlfriend for a long time.

Chiz.

"So.. you don't have anymore feelings for Jade?" I ask him, trying not to sound too desperate, or else he'll get suspicious.

"Well.. my feelings aren't entirely gone.. there's still a few left, and it hurts sometimes seeing you two together. I just wish she would trust me more, you know?"

Good. He still likes her. Thank God.

"I understand, Beck. Thanks for being so considerate" I genuinely thank him, and give him a little hug.

He hugs back, but it barely lasts a second until we break away because of an all too familiar voice.

"What the f**k!?" Jade yells, and she's got a nasty death glare, aimed towards me.

I gulp. Oh no.
