Samantha's pov
I couldn't take my eyes off them. Although they were perfectly camouflaged into the shadows of the woods, I knew that they were certainly there.
“Babe? These aren't rogues,” I heard Axel's voice through our mental link.
“I know. We must fight. We can't let them know we are shocked to see them,” I said.
“And something is wrong with the guards,” he said.
I took a quick glance at the stunned security guards who were staring blankly into the darkness. Leaving them there would mean certain death for them and we couldn't let that happen at any cost.
“I will create an illusion so we can get them out of here. Lead the warriors and fight the war. I will do everything I can to protect our troops,” I told him.
“We must defeat them,” he said.
