Her Strong Father

1652 Words
Nyra This hatred felt familiar. An evil mother who only knew how to humiliate her own daughter… to torture her repeatedly in front of others, just to satisfy her ego. And this woman was a step ahead. She had made life miserable for Samantha. She kept her confined to this room, away from the world. A memory surfaced... “Mom… this is for you…” Little Samantha said, holding out a bunch of flowers. "Don’t touch me! I’m not your mother. Your mother died long ago. I am your madam and you are my servant. Call me Madam if you want to live peacefully. Understood? Now get out of here!” Melini snapped angrily. The memory faded. Now, she must have come here to see if the girl was dead or not. Jack’s head snapped up. “What did you say?” his voice dropped instantly, turning dangerously quiet. She crossed her arms, as if she did not care about the Alpha’s anger. “Do not act surprised,” she replied flatly. “She has been like this for days...crying, refusing to eat, isolating herself. It was only a matter of time before this happened. But she is faking it. No one gave her attention, so she did this.” His grip tightened. “Faking? She is bleeding in front of you, and you think she’s faking it?” he repeated slowly, his voice losing even the smallest trace of warmth. “Of course. She is jealous because her mate rejected her and chose Lena over her. What else would you expect?” Melini stated without hesitation. “…what?” His voice dropped lower. “What do you mean… rejected?” he asked, each word deliberate and controlled. “Yes. Our Beta’s son, Jeason, was her mate. He rejected her yesterday and chose Lena as his new mate. He even marked her. But your dear daughter couldn’t accept it and locked herself in.” She spoke as if it meant nothing. Before he could respond... Another person entered the room. “Sister…? Oh, Goddess! What did you do… Sister?” Her voice was soft and sweet. A memory followed instantly... A smiling face. Kind in public. Cruel -heartless in private. Samantha’s younger step-sister, Melini's daughter Lena Stone. “What is yours is mine. You are a waste of breath. No one wants you. No one loves you.” She used to laugh at Samantha’s face. “Oh my god… what happened to her?” Lena gasped, covering her mouth as she stared at Samantha. Melini stood beside her protectively. Jack’s eyes narrowed slightly. “You tell me. Why did you hurt your sister? Don’t you understand how difficult a rejection is?” he said coldly. She hesitated. “Dad… I… did not want this to happen…” she said softly. “Because of that scar, her mate rejected her. And he chose me and marked me. Last night…” Something shifted. “And you chose not to tell me?” his voice dropped lower. “Honey, you were out on business. How could we inform you?” Melini tried to excuse herself. “So what? You had a phone.” He snapped at her. “I thought she would be fine… I even told her… if she wanted, she could take him back…” Lena said quickly. She was afraid of him. That much was clear. “That is enough, Lena, my daughter,” Melini interrupted sharply. Her gaze turned toward Samantha. Cold. “What did she expect?” she scoffed. “With that face? That scar? No wolf would ever accept her.” Silence filled the room. “Say that again.” Jack’s voice turned quiet. Deadly. The room froze. “You dare stand here and insult my daughter while she lies bleeding?” he said, his voice dropping into something far colder than before. Daughter. The word carried weight. “I do not care what she looks like,” he continued, each word cutting through the silence. “She is my daughter. And no one… no one has the right to insult her like this.” For a moment... Even Nyra, inside Samantha’s body, paused. Because that did not feel like control. That felt like protection. “And if I hear even one more word like that from you,” his voice turned deadly, “I will forget that you are my mate.” Melini’s expression tightened. Fear filled the air. “Get out. Before I lose control and bury both of you here.” He gave them a final warning. “Mom, let’s go… don’t make him angry.” Lena quickly pulled her mother out of the room. The door shut behind them. Moments later, the doctor rushed in, with Beta Josh following behind him. “Alpha…” the doctor greeted with a slight bow. “Save her. Now.” Jack cut him off immediately, stepping aside but never moving far. The doctor worked quickly, placing his bag on the side table. “We need to stop the bleeding…” he said urgently. “Be careful. If you hurt her…” Jack warned sharply. “I won’t, Alpha.” the doctor assured him. Jack did not move. Did not look away. “Stay with me, doll. Do not leave me like this…” he murmured under his breath, the words soft, almost like a prayer. The doctor stitched the wound carefully and bandaged it. “Alpha, she lost blood, but she is strong. Her wolf is already healing her. She will recover soon,” the doctor finally said. Strong. Yes. That, she was a strong. But a wolf? Nyra did not feel any wolf soul inside this body. Something else stirred within her. A different kind of power. Mysterious, but strong. “But she needs rest, Alpha. Her body is weak and undernourished. Proper food will help her recover faster,” the doctor added before leaving. Silence returned. Jack sat beside her slowly. His hand found hers. “You scared me, doll,” he whispered. “I thought I lost you…” His voice faltered. Lost. Another memory surfaced... Samantha is lying in the forest, bleeding in the heavy rain. “Doll!!” Jack had rushed toward her, panic in his voice. He lifted her small body into his arms. “Don’t close your eyes, dear. Daddy is here.” The memory faded. Someone had tried to kill her… even when she was just a child. But one thing remained clear. Her father had always come for her. Something inside Nyra shifted. Just a little. “Daddy… I’ll not die…” Her voice came out weak, barely a whisper. He froze. Then let out a soft, broken laugh. “You better not, because I am not letting you go anywhere,” he murmured. His grip tightened slightly. “Don’t give up,” he continued, his tone firmer now. “Not while I am here.” Her eyes remained open. But she said nothing more. Because she was still watching. “I do not care who rejected you,” he added. “That fool was never worthy of you.” She had no intention of going back either. “I will find you someone better. Someone strong. Someone who deserves you. Someone who gives you the love and respect you deserve,” he said firmly. No. Nyra’s mind answered coldly. No more bonds. No more weakness. She did not need a mate. “Rest now. I’ll come back later.” Alpha Jack stood and walked out. The moment he stepped into the hallway... His aura erupted. “GUARDS!” his voice thundered. Several guards appeared immediately, kneeling before him. “Alpha!” “Where were you while my daughter was bleeding under this roof?” he demanded coldly. Silence. “Useless. I will decide your punishment later. Leave.” They quickly dispersed. His gaze shifted to the maid. “You,” he said. “Alpha… It’s not my fault….” She collapsed instantly. “I trusted you with my daughter. And you failed me,” he said, his voice low and dangerous. “You will be stripped of your position. Go live as an Omega.” “I am sorry, Alpha…” she begged, crying. “Leave,” he cut her off. “If I see you near her again, I will kill you.” She fled in fear. Then he turned toward his mate and daughter. “Jack…” Melini tried to say. “Do not,” he said sharply. Silence followed. “I do not want to hear anything from you,” he continued. “Not after what you said.” “I was only concerned…” Melini said nervously. “You were mocking her. You wished for her to die. Just because of a scar?” his chest rumbled with anger. Melini fell silent. “Dad, forgive Mom,” Lena tried to defend her. “I will find my daughter a better mate,” he declared. His eyes turned cold. “And hear me clearly…” Both of them froze. “If anyone dares to hurt her again… I will kill them. I won’t be soft...even if it’s my mate or her siblings. I will never forgive anyone.” Alpha Jack give them warning. They didn't doubt him. They knew how cruel Alpha Jack would be. Inside the room... Nyra lay still. Eyes open. Mind fully awake. And for the first time... She understood something clearly. This world was not the same as hers. There were enemies around her. But there was also... A powerful father who stood like a shield. And that Alpha... Was not like the Alphas she had known. But she was not foolish enough to trust easily. Not yet. Still... One truth settled quietly inside her. She was not alone. And this time... Anyone who tried to break her… Would pay the price.
