Chapter 25 Monday, October 13, 2014 Markus Blackthorn’s penthouse 7:00 a.m. Markus stood for a long moment at his bedroom window watching the sunrise wash away the last of the darkness. It was a time in the day where he gathered his thoughts and organized them. Today, he didn’t care if he didn’t accomplish a single task. What he’d experienced in the past with other women had been so lacking compared to what Hannah gave him—it was as if he’d been eating all his life tasteless food. Or maybe it was even worse. Maybe he’d been eating poisoned food. Now? He was feasting on the best buffet Mother Nature could have concocted, all his senses engaged in tasting the endless fresh and rare delicacies offered.
