(Isolde's POV) I typed faster than I needed to. The keyboard clattered under my fingers, each keystroke harder than the last. *I hope Garrett gets hit by a truck on his way to work.* I typed it right into the middle of the quarterly report document. *I hope Victoria gets dumped by every man she ever touches.* *I hope she cries so hard she ruins that expensive mascara she always wears.* I kept going. The words poured out ugly and petty and I didn't care. My chest felt tight and my hands wouldn't stop shaking and this was the only thing that was helping. Three knocks on the door. I didn't answer. The door opened anyway. Natalie stepped in, her expression professionally neutral as always. She glanced at my screen, then at my face. "What are you working on?" she asked. "Nothing."
