Sasya led the way as we neared the temple, and I saw that in places the screen of roots and vines had grown into large and welcoming doorways, while within grew more of the luminescent bulbs I had seen inside the other buildings of the village.
We continued into the ship and it was unlike any derelict I’d been on. The decking was covered with moss and ferns, leaving the corridors carpeted in green. From the bulkheads, vines and other creeping plants wove their way along the plating, while in places the thick roots of the trees overhead pierced through the decks, sprouting the luminescent bulbs that gave the whole scene a yellow and green hue.
