I allowed Ella to drag me all the way to her room, up the huge staircase and down a bright long hallway. Pushing through some double doors we stopped, and I gazed around the room my mouth slightly ajar. Wow, this room was my dream room. A huge double bed filled the left side of the room and on the other I could see a walk-in wardrobe and a en-suite bathroom. Directly opposite was two glass double doors which opened onto a balcony that looked over the garden. The doors also provided amazing natural light to the room and the direction they were facing Ella obviously got the morning sun shining into her bedroom. Ella sniggered as she watched my reaction, “Like what you see?” she asked mockingly, I just turned to her with my eyes wide and my mouth open and nodded my head dumbly. She laughed and walked over to her bed. She lifted the sheet and pulled out a draw, only it wasn’t a draw it was another smaller double bed. She then marched into her wardrobe and came back with a duvet and pillows to die for! They were so comfy and warm, made out of feathers instead of sponge like mine at home were. I heard a bell ring out in the house before my hand was taken captive once again and I was dragged down the stairs. “Stop gaping silly! Its tea now anyways and you can meet my parents, I don’t want them thinking I’ve gone and got myself a goldfish!” She laughed still dragging me along. She seemed to have forgotten about my leg which was struggling to keep up with the rest of my body, my body was aching, my pain killers at home in the war zone, which I was not going to approach! The pain was so familiar now I wasn’t that bothered by it. Finally, we reached the dining room. Ella’s parents were there already and Ella had obviously told them that I was coming as there was three more plates set out around the table. Ella and I sat opposite each other and I introduced myself to her parents. “Well its nice to meet you Ivy, I’m Suzie Irving and this is my husband Dr Mathew Irving. But please, call us Suzie and Mathew. “ Mrs Irving smiled at me as she introduced herself and her husband. “You’re a doctor Mr Irving? I mean Mathew” I blushed as he gave me a stern look. “Yes, and I couldn’t help but notice your fingers. How did you break them?” Our conversation was interrupted by the late arrival of Rylee. “Your late son.” Mathew stated as he glared at his son. “Obviously.” Rylee replied with a roll of his eyes. He pulled out the seat next to me and sat, quite close I may add. “So Ivy your fingers?” Mathew prompted. “Oh, I had a bit of an accident.” “Well I’m glad its not serious.” Mathew replied. “Really? I heard a rumour going around school that you were in a coma for a while.” Rylee interjected leaning his elbows on the table to look at me. I squirmed, “Uh, yeah, I was. I broke a couple ribs, dislocated my shoulder, broke my fingers, stuffed the ligaments and cartilage in my knee and burnt half of my thigh off. But I’m fine, really.” I ended with a little laugh. All four Irving’s looked at me in shock. I cast my eyes downward and started to eat my food. “Mmm, this is delicious Mrs and Mr Irving” I attempted to change the conversation. “But Ivy dear, aren’t your parents worried about where you are? I mean if either of my children had an accident like that, I wouldn’t let them out of my sight.” I nearly chocked on my food his was exactly where I didn’t want the conversation to go. “Uhhh, I’m going to call them later, I’m just giving Mum some time to cool off.” Opps that last bit slipped I hope they don’t ask… “What do you mean?” Suzie asked me her voice hard but curious. “Well long story short, I knocked a girl out today in a fight, that I didn’t start by the way! The girls Dad like owns the school, so obviously the principal didn’t listen to my side of the story and told Mum that I started the fight. So, when the fire alarm ‘conveniently’ rang I climbed out the principal’s office window and jumped to the ground and then I borrowed my brother’s car and came here. To say that Mums mad would be an understatement! Soooo, I’m staying away until she is calm enough to listen to my side?” I asked the last bit as a question because if Mr and Mrs Irving made me go back then obviously I would, but I really hoped they wouldn’t. I looked up from my food and once again all four Irving’s were gaping at me. Rylee cleared his throat, “Sooo, you knocked a girl out. With your fist. Then you jumped out the window” He paused then shrugged “Cool” He grinned at me. “Rylee!” his parents scolded as I groaned and put my head in my arms. “I don’t think you understand the severity of the situation, or should I say s**t-uation.” I mumbled into my arms. Both Ella and Rylee tried to smother their laughter but failed. This was going to be a long night.
