NEVER SAW IT COMING.

IN THE WILD WORLD!

Ava has been spending her summer holidays with her mom. But soon she has to head to New york to begin classes. She is sad that she has to leave her mom so soon. It like she knows that it might be her last time she ever sees her. But she also misses her best friend Sammy. It's early in the morning and she is having breakfast with her mom.

Ava: So i'm leaving tomorrow.

Mary: Why though?

Her mom gives her a sad look. But Ava isn't buying it.

Ava: Oh come on mom!.. don't act like you'll miss me. You know i see you every night sneaking in Johnny.You won't miss me.

Johnny is Ava's moms boyfriend. Since she has been home. Her mom has been sneaking him through the back door at night for some quality time.

Ava:(curious) And i don't know why you have not introduced him to me.

Mary: Maybe because it's nothing serious.

Ava doesn't buy it but she let's go for NOW. She get's up and head's to her room to start packing for tonight's long drive to New york. She has been feeling quite strange this morning. It almost feels like someone is watching her.

Ava: It must be exhaustion. I'll call Sammy. She'll have my head if i tell her i'll be driving to New york.

Ava takes out her phone and dails her best friends number. It's rings for a few seconds.

Sammy: Oh.. look who decided to call.

Ava laughs a nervous laugh. During these holidays she has been so busy having fun with her mom that she didn't bother to check up on her best friend.

Ava: I know you really mad...

Sammy: Mad?!... i want to murder you!

Sammy shouts so loud that Ava distances the phone away from her ear. And she laughs at her overreacting friend. Because deep down she knows she's going to forgive her. They are best friend's after all. They've known each other since high school and they both decided to study in New york for college.

Ava: I'm sorry... i promise i'm going to make it up to you.

Sammy: YOU BETTER... you are lucky i'm in a good mood today.

Ava: Let me guess.. it involves Liam?

Sammy makes excited noises at the other end of the phone. Ava smiles at her silly friend.

Ava: What did Liam do again..to make my best friend so happy i wonder?

Sammy: You'll have to come to New york for that kind of gossip. Take it as punishment for not contacting me the whole summer.

Ava is disappointed but brushes it off with a smile. She knows she deserves the punishment.

Ava: Fine. But when i get there you better spill them beans!

They both laugh and talk for an hour about the latest gossips on campus. Ava later hangs up the call and continues to pack her bags.

A few minutes have passed. So Ava decides to head to the kitchen to grab a snack. When suddenly she feels a sharp pain in her stomach. She collapses on the floor and tries to breath in and out slowly..trying to overcome the pain. But it's unbearable for her.

Ava:(in pain) Aaaah!!

She tries to get up to get her phone to call the ambulance. But as she gets up she suddenly feels dizzy and suddenly everything goes dark.

A few hours have passed and Ava is in her bed still unconscious. Her mother pacing around the room really worried. While the doctor is examining her.

Mary: Is she ok doc?

Worried Mary asks the doctor. For a few moments the doctor keeps quiet and a few minutes turns to Mary.

Doctor: I don't quite understand what made her collapse. But she needs to rest mam. She'll be fine. But i think you should swing by the hospital for some tests.

Mary nods , worried. The doctor gives her a note of the medicine she needs to get and shortly leaves. Mary sits next to her daughter, tears in her eye's. And a few minutes pass when Ava slowly opens her eye's to see her worried mother next to her.

Ava: mom..

Mary is startled by her voice and calmly smiles when she realises that she's awake. Ava tries to get up but her mom gently pins her down. Making sure she doesn't hurt herself any further.

Mary: The doctor said you should rest honey.

Ava sits back and tries to recall what really happened to her. And when she stares out of the window she remembers that she should be heading to New york by now. She panicks and gets up.

Mary: Ava!

Her mom screams at her really irrated by her stubbornness. Ava smiles and she jumps and turns around to show her mom that she's absolutely fine. Mary knows how stturbon her daughter is and she calms down.

Mary: Fine... but i'm driving you to New york.

Ava gives her mom a exhausted look.

Ava: No... i'm fine mom. Now help me get my stuff in the car.

Ava is determined to leave as she picks her bags and makes way to her car. Her mom , worried helps her carry her bags and puts them in the car.

Mary: Just promise you'll phone me every 5 minute while you driving.

Ava laughs at her overreacting mom and rolls her eyes and later nods. She has no choice but to nod. She knows her mom is worried for her and the least she could do is agree to this tiny bit.

Ava: Ok.. give me a hug mom.

Worried and in disagreement she hugs her daughter and gives her a few kisses. And her motherly instincts sure don't lie.. because this may be the last time she sees her little angel. Mary is emotional and so is Ava but she knows she has to get to New york to start her classes.

Ava: I love you mama bear!

Ava gets in her car and blows her mom an emotional kiss.

Mary: Be safe Ava... and you call me every five minute.

Ava rolls her eye's and blows her mom the LAST KISS. And she drives off to New york. Mary looks as her daughter leaves , tears in her eye's she slowly follows her car until it is completely out of sight.

Mary: God protect my little angel.

Mary says a little prayer for her daughter's safety. She later heads back to the house to wait for Ava's call as she has instructed her that she calls every five minute to make sure that she's okey.

Later... It's been 4 hours of driving and it's getting a bit darker. There's still a few hours left. Ava makes a call to her mom. As always she is worried and panicks when she hears that she's on the road ALONE and it's getting darker.

Mary: Be safe honey... call me when you reach okey?

She assures her mom and drops the phone. She is more calm after hearing her moms voice. If she ever knew that it might be the last time EVER she hears her mom's voice. She keeps on driving when suddenly she crashes into something on the road. She immediately stops her car. She panicks. And she cools down realising that it's not possible that she injured a person since she's the only one on the road. But still feels bad because that means she has injured some animal. She quckily gets out of her car and is shocked to see an injured WOLF in front of her car.

Ava: Oh My GOD... i'm so sorry buddy.

She kneels next to the injured wolf and examines the injured wolf. Then suddenly there's howling coming out the bushes. The injured wolf howls back at the howling sounds in the bushes. Afraid Ava realises that it's the other wolves and that means they coming to their direction. In panick she gets up to make a run for it into her car but as soon as she gets up she spots a bunch of wolves running in full speed towards her direction... she freezes and the next thing she is dizzy and suddenly everything goes dark.

A lot of hours have passed. Ava slowly opens her eye's to an unfamiliar bedroom. The bedroom itself is strange as the bed is made out of grass yet so comfortable and beautiful. She slowly gets up realising that she's alone. She winches in pain, touching her head. She recalls everything and how she injured that innocent wolf and how the others came running to attack her.

Ava: What's going on here?

Ava looks around the room for any clues at what is really going on. Is she kidnapped... or maybe someone saved her when those wolves tried to attack her. These questions she asks herslef when the bedroom door opens and a men enters.. limping. Ava looks at the men and he looks quite familiar but she can't quite remember where and when he had met him.

Ava: Are you the person that saved me from those wolves?

Ava asks that question still staring at the man trying to figure out exactly where he has seen him before. The man looks at Ava not pleased that she's staring at him.

Luka: I don't like people staring at me.. but i'll make an exception for you... sweetheart.

Ava is disgusted by the way she has addressed her. But she calms herself down , thinking it's him that saved her from those wolves. It will explain it since his limping and quite beaten up.

Ava: Thank you for saving me from those wolves.

Luka smirks and looks at Ava as someone who is clueless.

Luka: You lucky they didn't tare you apart... i don't usually forgive anybody who attacks me.

Ava looks at the men confused. What does he mean that she had attacked him.

Ava: Attacked you?

Ava asks the mysterious man the question. He sighs in exhaustion and makes his way towards his bed and sits down like his about to tell a long tale.

Luka:Yes.. you the girl that ran over me yesterday!

Ava looks at him like his mad. But when she makes eye contact with him again. She realises why he looked so familiar. It's because his eyes are exactly like the wolf's eyes she saw last night. Ava laughs nervously shocked and in disbelief.

Ava: It can't be...you are joking!

Luka smirks and he jumps as high as he can and when he lands.. he has transformed into a WOLF. Ava backs away shocked and afraid. Luka changes back again.

Luka: Why you acting like you have never seen a wolf before?

Ava creates as much distance between her and Luka.

Ava: I have seen a wolf but not this kind that...that.. changes into a human!!

Ava is shaking as she speaks she can't believe what she has just seen. She panicks even more.. thinking she might be in danger. She fears Luka might attack her since she ran him over.

Luka: Relax i'm not going to harm you...YET.

Luka smirks and storms out. Ava looks around the room finding any area where she could make an escape because it's clearly not safe for her anymore. If Luka has not attacked her... why is he keeping her locked into a room. She panicks when she recalls Luka's statement. That he will be not harming her 'YET'.

Ava: I need to get out!... NOW.

Ava stares at a large window where she could make a clear and easy escape. She listens in to any footsteps and theres nobody coming near the bedroom. And decides that it's the perfect time to make a run for it. She pulls the window open slowly not wanting to attract anybody especially Luka. She slowly makes her way out the window and as soon as she lands on the ground outside she slowly walks away from the place looking at her surroundings and making sure nobody spots her. And when she sees that the coast is clear she runs into a forest as fast as she can. She runs and runs and keeps on running. But after it feels like hour's of running she realises that she doesn't know where she's running to. She stop's and looks at her surrounding. SHE IS LOST.

Ava: I never thought of this.

She walks forward hoping to find the main road or a house so she could make a quick phone call to the police. Still walking, suddenly trees move there's no wind that is making the tree's move.She runs again because she feels like someone is watching her. As she runs she stumbles backwards and falls down flat. She looks up to see a man tall,strong and handsome too. She gets up still studying the mysterious man. The man stares at her... confused.

Adrian: Human?

Ava looks scared she backs away slowly but in a second the man makes his way to her and grabs her by her waist. His hands are so rough yet comforting. Ava freezes in shock as the mysterious man sniffs her.

Ava: What you doing?.. leave me!

Suddenly the mysterious man opens his mouth and Ava notices his sharp teeth. Ava panicks realising that those teeth are FANGS... meaning his no human either but a VAMPIRE! She tries to wiggle herself away from him but his just too strong. Defeated she closes her eye's and embraces herslef. Then he dips his fangs down on her neck. Ava screams but as he sucks her blood Ava opens her eye's weirdly enjoying the pleasure she's experiencing.Then he snaps out of it and he pushes away from her. Ava quckily touches her neck and there's no sign of any bleeding. But she notices two dot like spots on her neck. She realises it the fangs that left them. The mysterious man looks at Ava pissed.

Adrian: What have you done!!

In shock Ava looks at him confused. He mutters something to himslef, brushing his dark hair in frustration. Ava is confused. What has she possibly done.

Ava: Me?

Ava looks at him.

Adrian: You no human... you an Angelic bean. How can i possibly be so stupid to have your blood!!

Frustrated he grabs Ava by the throat and he reveals his fangs scaring Ava. Ava is confused. Fed up of everything Ava burts into tears. The mysterious man shocked by the sudden reaction he let's go of her. Ava kneels on the ground and weeps even more. The mysterious guy kneels down you can see his feeling sorry for her but his trying to hide it.

Adrian: Don't think your tears will save you!

Ava ignores him and she keeps on crying. The guy calms down when he realises she's not stopping.

Adrian: I'm Adrian.

The guy doesn't know what to say to make her stop crying so he introduces himslef. And surprisingly it works. Ava wipes her tears and he helps her get up off the ground.

Ava: Ava

Ava introduces herslef through the tears. Adrian examines her.

Adrian: Are you lost?

Ava looks up in relief, happy that somebody is finally going to help her get home. Feeling she could trust the guy. She begins to tell her everything and how he met a wolf and ran over it and how Luka kidnapped her. By the mention of Luka , Adrian's expression changes.

Adrian: So he sent you!

Ava is taken aback by Adrian's accusations. Adrian has now changed and he could attack again. Ava sees the danger and she quckily defends herslef.

Ava: I swear i don't know him. He kidnapped me. I'm running away from him as we speak. I just need to get home. Please help me... Adrian.

Adrian looks hesitant but calms down when he sees how scared she is.

Adrian: I will choose to trust you for now... i would have hypnotized you so i could get the truth. Ava is shocked by his statement but nothing surprises her anymore she was kidnapped by wolves who are also humans and her blood has been just sucked by some vampire. But she needs Adrian to trust her so she thinks of something for him to trust him.

Ava: Then hypnotize me... you'll see i'm telling the truth.

Adrian looks irrated by her statement. Ava walks towards him but he turns away.

Adrian: You no ordinary person so i can't do that.

Ava looks at him confused but keeps quiet not wanting to piss him off because he might not help her get home. Adrian turns to Ava finding it hard to speak. It as if he doesn't like what his about to say.

Adrian: Your people are closing in on us. I'll help you escape them.

Ava looks around and she realises that his talking about the wolves and Luka. Ava panicks and she makes her way towards Adrian. Adrian doesn't ask for her permission and he grabs her waist. In shock Ava is about to ask when he lift's her off the ground and within seconds they are flying. In shock and frightened Ava closes her eye's since she's scared of heights. As they are flying they can hear howling and they both know it's from the wolves and they have realised that they have escaped. Ava breathes a sigh of relief. She just hopes she made a right decision by trusting Adrian. And hopes she gets home soon. But is she having high hopes though or this is the end and Adrian will be her saviour and get her home safe and sound. They fly for an hour and they land when they see a building.

Ava: Is this where you stay?

Adrian looks at Ava but doesn't respond and they both head inside the building. Ava is surprised by how huge and uncomfortable it is. But she doesn't have enough time to look around when two figures emerge from the dark. The two women stare straight at her. Making her uncomfortable.

Adrian: Mom...Chloe this is Ava.

The two women an't paying attention to Adrian. They walk towards Ava's direction and they circle her like predators and sniffing her. Ava looks over Adrian who doesn't show any expression.

Victoria: Angelic bean...impossible. I thought that...impossible!

The older looking lady is the queen and is shocked at this revelation.

Chloe: Adrian... where did...

Adrian looks hesitant but explains where he got her. And how Luka had kidnapped Ava. And that they ran into each other and that's how he got to save her and brought her to the palace. Immediately after Adrian's explanation the queen summons the guards, shocked Adrian instinctively covers Ava. What is really going on here?

Victoria: Capture her..now!

The guards head to a frightened Ava. As the guard's close in on her Adrian sneers at the guards showing off his fangs. The guard's hesitate but the queen threatens them. And they have no choice but to obey the queen. As one of the guard's close in... Adrian snatches him and rips his head off and throws it in the queens feet. Everyone in the room is baffled especially the queen. She can't believe his own son is disrespecting him. The guards back away frightened. The queen understands and summons them to retreat. Ava looks at a mad Adrian...frightened. After what just took place can she trust him?...and what kind of animal is he...to kill just like that mercilessly. As if realising his actions he looks embarrassed by his actions and looks away ashamed especially looking at how frightened Ava is. The queen isn't pleased.

Victoria: You had her blood didn't you?!!!

Queen Victoria screams in anger. Everyone is shocked at the queens outburst. Adrian is too ashamed to even look at his mother. The queen looks back at a confused and frightened Ava in disgust. And she leaves immediately in anger and a confused Chloe follows her. Ava rushes to Adrian's side and his still avoiding eye contact.

Ava: You did have my blood...is that wrong?

Ava asks this question... Adrian tries to walk away and she isn't having it. She grabs his hand and walks by him looking straight at him.

Ava: I'm done begging for answers!... tell me what she mean't?!!

Ava screams in anger. She is fed up of always being in the dark and constantly asking questions which seem never to be answered. Adrian makes eye contact and sighs. He first hesitates.

Adrian: It's means we...we are..

Suddenly a voice disturbs them and a good looking lady in a red dress and long dark hair emerges from the dark. She immediately stops when she sees Ava's hand holding Adrian's arm and she isn't pleased. And when she stops by them she immediately takes Adrian's hand away from Ava and kisses him and looks back at Ava...making a statement of some sort. Embarrassed Adrian backs away from her. She is not pleased.

Adrian: Veronica meet Ava.

Veronica fakes a friendly smile and she sarcastically hugs Ava with a huge smile on her face. Ava realises that but she's not here to make friend's or enemies. All she wants is to get home. Ava looks back at Adrian for answers because he was about to explain what the queen mean't earlier. Adrian notices and reassures her that he'll talk to her later and promises to tell her everything. He summons one of the royal maidens to escort Ava to a guest room. Hesitant.. Ava follows the maiden hoping Adrian sticks to his word and tells her everything she needs to know. As she leaves with the royal maiden she can't help but notice Veronica's hard and hateful stare. Veronica seems threatened by her... but why?

Veronica: Isn't she a cutie.

Veronica fakes a smile but Adrian is too occupied to even entertain her and he immediately leaves. Veronica isn't pleased by his rudeness. She curses and also shortly leaves.

A few hours have passed and Ava is in the guest room not getting cozy. She's walking around waiting for Adrian's arrival as promised by him. Suddenly there's a knock on the door she jumps to the door and opens it to reveal Queen Victoria. She doesn't look pleased and so is Ava especially after the queens stant earlier. The queen pushes her and walks inside. Ava sighs in frustration but cools down... it's her palace after all.

Ava: Queen Victoria..

The queen ignores her and looks around the room in disgust like something is smelling.

Victoria: It's your majesty you fool!!

Ava is taken aback by the queens aggressive voice and immediately addresses her as 'your majesty'. The queen smiles in satisfaction.

Victoria: You trapped my son young lady and i'm not...

The queen doesn't finish and Ava speaks immediately in confusion.

Ava: Trapped?!... how can i possibly do that. Your son is only helping me get home.

First the queen doesn't look pleased that she dares interrupts her. But she cools down when she sees how clueless she is.

Victoria: You let him have your blood. You are an Angelic bean and no vampire shall consume your blood. And you knew it!! ... now my son is cursed!!

In anger the queen backhands Ava and she falls on the ground painfully. The queen shows off her fangs but she immediately pulls them back inside when she smells someone coming towards their direction. And immediately Adrian enters the room and shocked to see Ava on the ground wincing in pain on the floor. He stares back at her mom and his eyes have turned all black and his fangs are showing. And as if scared..Victoria leaves immediately using her vampire speed as Adrian was about to follow her Ava screams back at him.

Ava: Enough!...stop your running Adrian... what's going on?!

Ava in pain tries to stand up and Adrian immediately goes by her side and helps her sit on the bed. Her cheek is bleeding from the hard slap the queen gave her. Adrian stares at the wound and immediately his fangs show... he can't resist Ava's blood. He immediately pulls away. Ava looks confused.

Adrian: I was wrong to have your blood that day.

Ava cleans off her wound and is confused at what Adrian means. What exactly does he mean. Is something bad going to happen to either of them just because Adrian consumed her blood.

Ava: What does that mean?

Ava walks to Adrian. She wants answers and now. And Adrian knows that.

Adrian: An Angelic beans blood shall not be consumed by a vampire or anyone at that matter. If you do...one is considered cursed.

Ava thinks of Adrian's behaviour. When he mercilessly killed that royal guard. Could that be the curse. Could it be the reason he killed that guard without giving any thought. Is that the curse. Adrian explains further.

Adrian: I'm cursed now. I had your blood Ava.

Adrian looks away from Ava. She also looks away. Is she feeling guilty because she had cursed Adrian. The same guy who she wants help from. But how was she suppose to know that if he consumed her blood he shall be cursed. But seeing Adrian so torn apart... she can't help but cry. She didn't mean to cause anybody pain especially Adrian who has been so nice to her. Adrian looks over a weeping Ava. He wants to go comfort her but is it the right thing to do. Hesitant... he walks over to her and kneels down next to her.

Ava: I'm sorry Adrian... i didn't know. I don't even know that i'm a Angelic bean. I don't even no anything that is supernatural. I'm just a lost person looking to go home.

Ava looks at him pleading him to at least take her home.

Adrian: You not lost Ava...you now belong here. An Angelic bean comes to a kingdom for a purpose. And you have a reason for being here.

Adrian looks hesitant and he holds Ava's hand trying to convince Ava that she may not be going home..ever.

Adrian: Things are complicated now Ava... especially since i consumed your blood. We are now bonded by blood, flesh. How can you explain how i immediately showed up when mom attacked you.

Ava stands up abruptly..looking at Adrian confused and shocked. Does that mean every pain she feels Adrian feels and when Adrian had to experience any sort of physical pain she shall also feel. It's doesn't sit well with Ava. But she can't possibly take his word.

Ava: Ok... if that's true. Your mom attacked me and my cheek was wounded and i bleeded.

Adrian explains to Ava that his wounds heal immediately since his a vampire. And he shows her his hand which had blood. And explains it's the blood that he extracted when he touched his wounded cheek which healed immediately since he was a vampire. Ava is shocked but how can that be even possible. She immediately bites her hand until it bleeds. Immediately Adrian makes a sound of pain. And she sees him holding his right hand..the same hand she bit herslef. Not fully convinced she comes closer and yankes his hand that his using to cover his wound. And Ava is left shocked to see traces of her teeth on his hand. And she looks at her hand to see the exact wound. She backs away dizzy. Adrian holds her before she completely collapses.

Ava: It's indeed a curse!!....WHY DID YOU CONSUME MY BLOOD...WHY!!

Ava screams out in anger she keeps slapping Adrian in anger. He looks away in shame and regret. They are now bonded , basically stuck together forever in this instance. What to do? What are they going to do to undo this curse. But the real question is... can it be undone, and how?. Adrian calms her down and promises that they shall find a way to free themselves. They both sit on the bed on opposite side's of the bed and remain quiet for hours until one speaks.

Ava: Now i'm really stuck... i can't return home like this

Ava looks over at a thinking Adrian. He understands how she feels and would do anything to help her. To help free her from the curse and to save her from the likes of Luka. It is his duty now especially since they are now bonded he has no choice but to save her with his life. Since they are bonded by flesh if one dies so does the other.

Ava: If i'm really an Angelic bean...i need to know everything about it and whatever purpose i'm here to fulfill i shall do immediately...just maybe it's the solution to break off this curse?

Ava has a glimpse of hope as she speaks but Adrian isn't too sure about that.

Adrian: I doubt that will break off the curse. A curse that is bonded by flesh requires a great deal of power or sacrifice. But i shall help you.

Adrian looks hesitant but promises Ava that tomorrow morning they will head to the oldest witch in the kingdom to seek for help. And to finally find out the purpose of the Angelic bean to appear in the kingdom in this instance Ava. Although Ava would not be going home anytime soon...she is glad that Adrian will be by her side no matter what happeneds. Adrian stands up to leave.

Ava: Adrian!

He looks over at her confused... Ava hesitates for a while and she finally says it.

Ava: I'm sorry for the curse thingy. I promise i'll fix it. You killed somebody for no reason today because of the curse. So I'm really sorry.

Adrian looks hesitant but he walks over Ava and he gently cups her cheeks and reassures her that it's not her fault and he should be the one to blame because he consumed her blood forcefully. Ava feels revealed she's never felt so safe...EVER.
