I noticed Kylie's countenance change the moment they announced the Donovan's were present. Yeah, don't be surprised that I knew about them. I did my research about the bastard Gerald and that was how I came to know about them. My eyes wandered around the place as the Donovan's stepped in.
Gerald wasn't in sight... That was suspicious. Wasn't he supposed to be here?
I stole a glance at Kylie to see how tensed and uncomfortable she had become, causing me to reach out to her hands to comfort her. Nothing was going to go wrong. I won't let that happen not on my watch. I was going to protect Kylie from any obstacles and someone like bastard Gerald. And why here of all places did he not show up? What was his intentions?
