I have never seen a lycan turn. Actually I have never seen a lycan in their wolf form. I have spent my life among shifters, I know every nasty thing that comes with the werewolf shift - the pain, the inevitability, the craving for human flesh. To lycans, or any other kind of animal shifters, us werewolves are just monsters - the source of each scary story, the reason horror movies and urban legends. We are all humans believe us to be and worse.
It has never been a problem for me. When you live among monsters you accept them as part of the daily normal. I am not ashamed to be the heir to the werewolf alpha, or that I can’t wait to receive the bite and lead my pack to become a force to be respected, feared, not disregarded and looked down upon.
