The moment we were submerged in water, I felt weightless, surrounded by the darkness.
Kata's hot body was the only source of comfort for a few moments, so I clung to him. I was about to shake him to point out how we were to see anything in the dark. And to ask if he had tricked me into getting undressed and dunking in the lake at night.
But then it happened.
I saw light.
Tiny lights like stars floating in the water all around us. Slowly they began glowing brighter and coming closer, becoming larger.
They were bioluminescent plankton.
It was a mesmerizing sight, especially when we became still and allowed them to rest on us.
Kata's long white hair was dancing in the water as if come alive and had begun to glow as well. He was stunning.
