"Juhi, may I talk to you alone?" I had no obligation to the rest of them.
"Uh-uh, not happening!" Of course, it was Rex who would step in first.
"You are not getting a chance to kill her again." It was Akoni now. I glared at him. I had no intention of killing the lady. I got carried away. But I wasn't going to explain myself to any of them.
"Looks alive to me." I simply noted.
"No thanks to you." It was Hīrō's turn now. I didn't even bother acknowledging him.

She looked conflicted. I guess I was partially at fault. But that's why I needed to talk to her, so I could cover the damage that my actions had done.
