Chapter 7

They kept chatting for a while before servants came to collect Lihua since her mother was searching for her. She went with them before turning and smiling at him. He was flustered and ran his fingers through his hair as she giggled at his expression and turned and went with her maids.

"Hey! What were you doing with the prince?" Diu asked her wiggling her eyebrows, teasingly.

"Umm? What were you saying?"

"What were you doing with the prince?"

"That guy's the prince?!?!"

"The first prince to be exact. Your Shing-ge."

"My Shing-ge?!"

"Actually,I thought you had forgotten him."

"Do I know him personally?"

"Oh...you don't remember? Well lucky for you my job is to remember what you are supposed to. You had met him the first day of tutoring along with the crown prince. You were lost and he found you and helped you out."

"Hmm.."

After the banquet was officially over, they were escorted to the gates. The carriage was ready and they left for their household.

She went to her room with Diu to change and take rest as she was tired. Diu went to her quarters as her master requested that she be left alone. Li Hua was removing the jewelleries when she noticed her hand.There was the bracelet emitting a masculine feeling. She smiled as she remembered the handsome first prince as she left the bracelet in her hand. It somehow made her feel protected. She climbed onto her soft bed and was about to fall asleep when a sound woke her up.

She went close the window which was open when somebody caught her hand with the bracelet. She was about to scream when another hand covered her mouth and a face appeared.

"Its me don't scream.I wanted to tell you who I am. I couldn't sleep."

She smiled."I know who you are."

He gaped and ran his fingers through his hair as he blushed. "Are you angry with me for not telling you earlier?"

"No silly,why would I be angry?"

"Are you afraid of me?"

"No."

Then she remembered the bracelet in her hand. She made a move to remove it when she noticed that he had not yet left the hand the bracelet was on. He was scrutinizing her hand with a smile on his face.

"Why are you wearing it till now? Don't you want to remove it when going to sleep?"

He asked with a smile.

Now it was her turn to blush as she tried to find her own reason. She didn't know why she left it either.

She tried to evade the question, "You don't want the bracelet?"

" I had another one made." He showed another white bracelet identical to the black one.

The one on her hand had a white had and black belt to it while what was on his hand had a black jade with a white belt to it.

"You can keep mine as a sign of my friendship."He said generously.

"I don't remember accepting you as my friend."

He ignored her as he teased," And...You seem quite attached to it. She ignored him but couldn't help her cheeks lighting up. She was thankful that the darkness outside masked her face.

She felt attached to this person she just met the day. There were foreign feelings from somewhere within just looking at his bracelet or him.

Slowing tiredness took over and her eyes started to close.

In the silence the prince noticed she was getting tired, he climbed through the window carried the lady at the window and placed her on the bed. He sat at the side looking at her lovingly. He felt something different when he saw her. She wasn't like other girls who would swoon at the sight of him or curry favour with or one of the kind who would fall on him, try to seduce him and all.

After coming to this world, this girl captured his attention. From the way she talked, all freely not bothered by the status difference. Just not aware. Like how he was. From the time he entered this world he wasn't bothered about the status barriers here, he treated everyone as equals. He felt she was familiar, like a long lost feeling arising from his body. He wondered if that brat had any connection to this girl.

He gazed at her a little longer before planting a kiss on her forehead and disappearing through the window into the darkness.
