Chapter 14

“Sitriiii!” The first thing that I heard when we—luckily—were able to reach the safe zone, is the wild voice of Gaston shouting for my name. His smile was wide as he and other of the Vulture gang were going towards me. When Gaston saw Valour, along with Solomon, his smile even became brighter. “Hey, you were all alive!” He exclaimed. “Why? You’re expecting us to die?” I asked him mockingly. I made a fist bump on him which was our sign of welcoming inside the group. “Why would I even want that s**t to happen, Sitri? Y’know how important you are in the gang, isn’t it?” Gaston said. “Am I?” I asked, then shrugged my shoulder’s, as if telling him I am clueless about it. “But yeah, glad that you were all kickin’ still. Valour was still handsome even though he’s a tired ass.” “We fought Sinners before this man, Agos, found us.” “’twas a good thing you were able to fought them ? Valour told me last time how afraid you are when he saved you from a Sinner.” “Yeah, that was because it’s my first time, okay? This time, I’ve adjusted fine.” “You know Sitri, inside this safe zone is nothing but plain boring seconds. Got even no engaged fight with any Sinners.” “Agos said Owls fought something terrifying, more powerful than Sinners,” I said. “Ah, that is before they came here to the safe zone,” he answered. We both looked at him as he escorted Solomon towards a specific place. Maybe to the leader of the Eagles so that they could talk to each other. On the other side, I see Valour walking towards us, giving us a pretty tire look which Gaston and I could only read. “You must be exhausted man,” Gaston said, acting as if he was sympathizing Valour’s tiredness. “I am we fought Sinners earlier, and Sitri almost nearly die that time.” “I’m not,” I said, trying to hide the shame from the earlier happenings. “Had not for Solomon, she was being mourned by now.” “Shut up, Valour,” I whined. I looked at him with an angry glare, but all he replied to me was a tired sigh, and a turning of his back. “Hey man, wait up.” Gaston ran towards Valour and held his arm to make him stop. “Sitri almost die.” Valour nodded. “Why?” Gaston continued asking. Valour looked at me, and with a tired look, he unstrapped the belt bag he was wearing. That is where we placed the potions we gathered earlier from the loots. “It’s both from us. Me and Sitri.” “This is …” “Loots,” I answered. From that, Valour had completely turned his back. At the same time, Gaston opened the belt bag Valour had given. And when he did, I personally witness how his eyes turned wide, and how his mouth dropped from extreme shock. I guess the number of the loots would speak out from all is questions. Or maybe, he would find more questions because of that.
