LAURINA's POV
Did somebody just say sister?
“WTF, Roselle!?”
She smiled at me. Just like she did seven years ago, when she jumped into the swimming pool to drown herself just so she could get my father's attention and frame me. Here she is, taking what belongs to me; she always goes after the things I have.
“Charles! How dare you? How could you?”
I pounced on him; biting, kicking, hitting. He threw me on the floor. Roselle let out soft giggles, her eyes almost tumbling inside her head as she moaned with pleasure. I stared at them in disbelief.
“It can't be real. No! It's not real,” I kept muttering.
More giggles flooded the room. He was sucking her; he knows how much I love getting sucked by him. I stood there, my whole body numb.
He was sucking her, every bit of her just the way I liked it. “Charles!”
He glanced sideways, and increased the tempo, Roselle reacting accordingly. Screaming his name, just the way I used to.
“f**k me, Charles!” She cried, her hips moving rhythmically to compensate for his tongue which was playing with her clits.
“Oh, Charles! Harder!”
“You like it when I make you scream, don't you?” She nodded.
“f**k me! Please! I want your d**k inside me, Charles!”
She turned her face towards me with a smirk and blurted, “I heard your husband knows how to f**k bitches, so I wanted to have a test of it.”
I stumbled backwards almost collapsing to the floor but Jack caught me. My heartbeat spiked as I struggled to regulate my breath, while watching in horror my half-sister and my husband, Charles, f*****g each other so passionately in my presence. No remorse. No restraint. They didn't care about how I felt.
Soft moans filled the air.
“Yes, Charles! Harder, baby!”
I held onto Jack with everything in me as an attempt to contain the emotions surging through me, my fingers digging into his skin.
“So, this is what you have been hoarding alone? You should learn to share, Sister!”
Her voice made me feel nauseous, my stomach growling as cold sweat bathed my body.My eyes darted towards the turquoise stone that lay a few meters from where the bed stood; I could just grab it and smash it on her head, or maybe stab them with a knife? I'll kill the both of them
Let's go to hell together.
“Let me go, Jack,” I begged, he reluctantly let go.
I made a move to the kitchen, but dashed to the bathroom last minute to throw up, their laughter mocking my every step, every decision I made, and every pain piercing through my heart.
Huelch!
Huelch!!
Huelch!!!
My insides were burning as I poured out everything that was in my stomach. I don't know what I was vomiting, but the retching persisted alongside the tears which flooded my face.
Sniffling the phlegm that was dripping from my nostrils. How did I get here?
Why was I crying? Not like Charles’s cheating was new to me. Why was I crying? I wanted to stop. I want to stop, but I can't. To whom do I run to? Elena? Jane? They would storm this house and leave it in ruins.
I want revenge, but that's not the kind of revenge I want.
Knock! Knock!!
It could not be Charles, he didn't even budge when he saw me. My lack of options have given him so much reason to go wild.
“It's me. Jack.”
“Come in,” my breathy voice sounded.
He opened the door slowly, the faint moanings of those two traitors flooded my ears again. I retched again and collapsed on the floor. My knees were wobbly, my sight blurry, my world crumbled.
A thick white cloud enveloped me as I gave in to its warm embrace. So soothing.
“It's all my fault…”
The morning light warmed my face immediately as Jack rolled the curtains. The sound of birds chirping, the wind hostling trees and flowers bombarded my ears, I sat up and stretched as the chilly air bathed my skin.
“Coffee?”
I nodded. He knows I like coffee.
“Where am I?”
“You're in my house. You passed out yesterday, so I had no other option than to bring you here because your husband didn't care.
That word. Such a reckless decision, a name that ruins a once happy woman. Husband. I gritted my teeth to control my anxiety, but the erratic gurgling sound from my stomach gave me away.
“Breakfast is ready. Have a bite before you leave.”
“I'll take the coffee. I'm not hungry for now.”
“Okay.”
Huh? Did he just say okay?
I grabbed the coffee, shut the door and drove back to a hotel to freshen up.
“Good morning, Ms.”
“Good morning,” I responded walking towards the door.
While gently padding my hair, my phone rang.
“Ms, Laurina!”
“Amira, slow down.”
“The investors are agitated. Mr Derrick has ordered that you leave for Paris in less than an hour.”
“When's my flight leaving?”
“1 hour 30 minutes. I've prepared everything for you.”
“Alright. Meet me at Angel Top hotel.”
“I'll be there in fifteen minutes.”
Tapping my feet rhythmically to the music in the background while going through the document Amira sent, a sound disrupted my focus.
Knock, knock. I paused the music. It should be Amira.
“It's room service. Your desert is ready, ma'am.”
“Come in.”
I glanced at my watch and my phone. No sign of Amira, it's thirty minutes now. She has never acted out of schedule before, did something happen?
The dessert sat cold on the table. It's thirty five minutes now, we're literally behind time!
A knock came in. It must be her.
“What took you so…”
“My apologies. I…”
“Jack? What are you doing here?”
“Amira’s sister got involved in an accident in school, so she had to rush to the hospital where her sister was admitted.”
In coherence, my phone rang. I swiped the dialer to the right and a breathy voice came through.
“I'm so sorry, Ms. My sister…”
“It's alright, Amira. Take good care of your sister. I've wired the money for her hospital bills, use these few days to cool off and bond with your family.”
“Thank you, Ms.”
I smiled and ended the call. She deserves more, but that's all I can offer.
“Shall we?”
Jack gestured. I nodded and led the way with his carrying along the luggages, I'm trying so hard to ignore him but he keeps appearing in my life. Ugh!
Camera flashes welcomed me the moment I stepped outside the hotel.
“Is it true?” A paparazzi asked, others swarmed in.
“Are you both in an open relationship?” Another question.
“Does your husband know you're sleeping with another man???” Another bombarded.
What is happening?
My mind was already imagining the glaring headlines. My heart sank the moment my eyes caught the name on my screen.
