Birthday Surprise

         A..about me?, what about me? Vic asked. Em, Gisel and Victoria are now looking at each other as if they didn’t not really want to divulge something about Victory.

               Yes, about you, my dear!. When you are made I was advised to try a d**g that could help my baby and me to become strong and withstand whatever challenges like an accident if it might happen in the future. Sure enough it did and you were protected by that d**g. However, I was injected with it and it went into your blood stream faster than mine that it changed the way your bones grew and how they develop in time as your grow older. But the tests weren’t complete and Dr. Harvey lied to me when asked about the effects of the d**g. Later I finally found out that the effects of this d**g can totally make that part of your body…Em stopped and looked at Vic straight in the eyes.

               Part of my body will turn into what? …mom?? Vic insisted and stood up to walk towards her mom in one of the meeting rooms at the convention centre. Rita, Liz and the guards are outside waiting for her to come right out after this session is over.

               Haaa! Part of your body mainly your right arm or so will turn into a cyborg or what we call a machine or humanoid, Em spilled it out and almost cried wanting to come near Vic but Vic’s eyes widened in disbelief. No, no, nooo!, you’re wrong mom, I’m okay now and look I feel fine, Vic added laughing, you must be kidding me?

               You mom isn’t lying Victory, you will turn into a cyborg this coming year, on your 26th birthday, Victoria uttered bravely. Professor Winer who took you in was the one who made sure you will be protected when you are little. So he built in a membrane that was planted in your brain like an alarm that was set to blow off when the time is right. In your case it isn’t a bomb that will destroy you but a part of your body that will change into a cyborg so you can protect yourself all the time.

               Mom, guys, this isn’t true, I…want to be human and I want to stay that way forever, Vic said but still couldn’t believe her ears, looked at her family, stood from her seat where she is in the middle of the table, and walked out of the room. Vic, Victory!, Em called out for her but the girl ignored her mother and still head out the door. Leave her be Em, she’ll figure it out somehow. Don’t worry! Victoria said, who is seated beside Em. Em wanted to follow her daughter Vic but Victoria tapped her shoulder to stop her.

Rita wanted to stop Vic and ask what’s going on, but the girl shoved her arm. Liz followed Vic to where she is going. Now, Vic doesn’t know where to go or who to run to. But she wants to get away from this place and breathe fresh air since she felt suffocated from what she heard from everyone earlier at the meeting room.

               Wait, Vic, hey, where are you going? What happened and..Talk to me, pleaseee, babe??? Liz still running after Vic who is now outside the convention centre . She is striding fast that Liz almost tripped walking beside her. Hey, stop, Vic, Vic…baby, hey!!!, Liz said blocking VIc ‘s way. Tell me everything!, pleaseee!, Liz added looking at Vic sincerely. Vic nodded and just sat at the sidewalk a couple of feet from the convention centre. An ice cream stand stood in front of them, so Liz had a great idea to buy two and eat them together while Vic tell her whatever is on her mind now, why she’s mad and why she is crying in the meeting room with her family.        

        Aha!, so, that’s what happened!, Babe, is it really to have a cyborg arm or what. Actually I find it so f..kin hotttt! Hehe!, Liz reiterated with a big smile on her face.

               Lizzz!!!, Vic said not really happy with the reply.

               I know, I know I get you. But think of the bright side, think of it as something that can make you more invinsible, don’t you think? Besides it’s just normal nowadays to have a part of your body operated, Liz explained. Yes I know but this is different, you will be touched by a cyborg hand, well my right arm at least but still!!!Vic answered sadly.

               Babe, I love you and whatever you look like or feel like doesn’t matter. As long as you can still touch me, and besides I love you for you and everything about you, Liz replied l*****g her ice cream and throwing the paper after finishing it up, then moved towards Vic and kissed her on the mouth. Vic is still not done eating her ice cream until it melted in her hand since Liz’s kiss took more than a minute until she let Vic’s lips go. Okay, I believe you! Now look what you’ve done, my ice cream’s gone, Vic added and threw the last part of the cold beverage on the trash bin and kissed Liz on the mouth.

               I love you so much Liz, I don’t know what I’d do without you!, Vic said lovingly while touching Liz’s face with so much affection and smiling at her girl gladly. She is so relieved that Liz is here to support and guide her. She just doesn’t know for sure until when, since she’ll be experiencing drastic changes not only on her body but her whole being too. What would this change make me feel or do? I hope dear Lord that it’ll do me good and I’d be able to help others more or better in the future.
