Victory is borne

  Two weeks from now Em will give birth to Victory. Victoria, Gisel, Maxim and Leopold along with their extended family are all anticipating for their little angel’s arrival to a world where equality, peace, good health and prosperity reigns. Victory’s birthday is coming, August 24th and it’s two weeks from now. I wish I can really prepare for meeting a granddaughter, Maxim thought looking at Em and Leopold walking at the garden of MV Mansion. Em told him three days ago that there is a traitor among his men. Waldo?, Ralf?, Leopold or Leonardo are family so who else is there?, Gisel, my wife Victoria? Hmm!, it’s really hard to know observing and peeping inside each and every one’s mind, heart and soul. These people have given up their entire life and future for my kingdom, to save and protect the Crown. I can’t….Lala? and her family. Her dad’s a businessman and so are his colleagues and friends. Maybe that’s it!

           Beatrice had been long gone since she lived in limbo being invisible half her life. She wouldn’t lie or do anyone harm in fact I miss her too. She had been a good friend of mine even before Cronus married her. She was just influenced by my dear old brother why she did what she did to obey the king’s command, who was Cronus during those times, Maxim still figuring things out while acting like he’s reading the morning paper at the front porch with his coffee.

           Gisel and Tessa are in the kitchen and baking something in the oven. But their cooking is not that hot compared to their kisses, eyeing each other’s bodies covered in starch and flour. Who’s sexy now? Tessa asked while tossing flour in front of Gisel who is laughing while doing the dirty dancing holding Tessa’s waist and moving to the dance steps though there’s no music, just in her mind. Victoria came in with a smirk and crazy smile on her face, not saying anything just, excusing herself while she gets a carton of fresh milk and two tall glasses to go with it. She was totally laughing when she went out of the kitchen to go to the front porch. Victoria saw Maxim seriously reading but saw the newspaper backwards so she flipped it upright and kissed her husband on the cheek lovingly. Em, come here and drink your milk, the sun’s pretty hot now so come in and take a rest. Leopold, here’s another glass for you too, I think you also need a boost of energy since Em’s baby is on its way sooner than we think. Okay mom, thanks!, Em said and followed Leopold who is still tagging her along and helping her walk slowly since her tummy is really bigger no.

      Dear, you want some cookies, mom and Tessa baked chocolate cookies and muffins, Victoria asked Maxim. Thanks honey, alright. I’ll have some.

           Lala and Leonardo came to visit Polynesia and didn’t call to surprise the family. Leopold was helping Ralf tend with the garden and horses at the stables, when Leonardo came in and hugged his brother. Oh, f*ck, ahhhhh, Leonardo???, Leopold surprised. Yup, your one and only handsome brother has arrived, let me help you with that, he added taking the shovel out of his brother’s hand to feed the horses with hay. Welcome home and where’s Lala?, Leonardo asked wiping his sweat with the towel wrapped on his neck then walked a little to get his bottled water and drank it all up. She is with mom and Em. Lala loves children and she is very excited to see our niece, haha!, Leonardo replied still shovelling the hay to feed the horses.

           Em, wow, look at you beautiful momma!, Lala running towards Em and caressing her huge tummy. Beautiful huh, how about fat and puffy, huhu! Em said jokingly but actually feeling a bit ashamed for she is indeed very large now that she is pregnant. Haaa!, it’s okay, you’re pregnant and that’s just normal, don’t you think, Aunt Victoria?, Lala said turning to Em’s mom who is preparing tea for everyone, excluding Em of course. Yes and you my darling needs to rest for one week from today you’ll have that baby of yours in no time. You don’t need to worry about your weight, you’re actually slim compared to when I carried you. I was so huge but it’s okay, you’ll go back to your sexy bod after a few months or so, Victoria explained helping Em to her bed on the guest room since Maxim didn’t want her to take the stairs for her and her baby’s safety.

              Okay, see you later Lala, I want to hear your stories and adventures travelling Asia, mwah!, Em said smiling and feeling tired carrying that big tummy for hours now.

           Alright, see yah, then!, Lala uttered with a laugh. Hi, so, how’s your dad? Gisela asked so happy to see Lala again after a year. He’s good, as usual attending meetings and dealing with business men and women all through-out Asia.

           Wonderful!, have some tea, and muffins, we bakes these. I hope you like them!, Tessa proudly said sitting beside Gisel on the side of her chair. Thank you, the tea was excellent, I always loved mint green tea with milk, and the aroma soothes and calms the body, hmmm!!!, Lala added and felt a bit dizzy after drinking the tea. Oh, ahhh!

     Lala, what’s wrong? Gisel asked and ran up to the woman almost falling to the floor. I don’t know, I feel …ahhhhh!!!, Lala…Tessa called out but Lala lost consciousness.

What’s wrong, Nana?, Aunt Victoria?, Leonardo asked worried about Lala. She’s okay, maybe she just had a jet lag and felt it after drinking the tea. However, I called a doctor to make sure Lala’s really fine. She’ll be here in a minute, Gisel mentioned to everyone and Leonardo felt relieved. Thanks Nana, Leonardo said smiling. Okay, we’ll help prepare for dinner now, don’t worry Leonardo, she’ll be okay, Tessa very confident about Lala’s condition.

The doctor diagnosed that Lala had a series of dizzy feelings because she had anemia. Leonardo had been observing Lala and she sleeps late, seldom eats a full meal and drinks coffee a lot. “I always advise her to take her vitamins but she neglects it and so I make her take them every time,” Leonardo thought for several months Lala had been working hard and now she is paying for the lost sleeps and meals. Huh!, I should have taken care of her better and ….Leonardo now emotional. Stop, Leonardo, it’s not your fault, she is a grown woman. She knew what she’s doing, Maxim explained holding his nephew’s shoulder to comfort him. Okay, rest too, you just got here from hours of travel, I’ll take care of her just for tonight, go on, now!, Victoria said assuring Leonardo that Lala is safe here with us.

Honey, I’ll just check on Em, and if she needs anything. I’ll be right back, okay, Maxim said to his wife who is fixing Lala’s bed and covering her with comforters to make her warm.

Huh!, Em, Gisel…Nana, Tessa, help!, Em…..Maxim called out for the rest of the family to advise him what to do since Em is giving birth with his granddaughter, here, now.

     Leopold ran inside the mansion when he heard Maxim called out for help and about Em. What’s happening?, Em!

               Gisel and Tessa came running towards Em in the guest room. Gisel advised Tessa to get a bowl of water and dry linen. Victoria came running too and when she saw Em breathing harshly and heavily, she knew it’s already time to give birth to the baby. Victoria is a military officer and a doctor but not by profession. Gisel and Victoria helped together. Tessa took all the things to use for Em’s safety. Victoria ordered Em to lay her back on the bed. They pulled the pillows and set them aside. The bed Em is at can be swiveled, so Gisel controlled it so Em’s legs would be held up higher on each sides. Victoria called Em’s name and advised her to breathe, 1, 2…and push. Again and again until, Victoria can feel the baby’s head near Em’s private part and opening. Baby, your little angel is about to come out now. Push with all your might but take it easy and breathe well. Alright, honey, now!, Victoria said and Em pushed that at long last the baby came out and cried. Victoria pulled the baby up and let it cry for a bit. She cut the baby’s cord and took the water and excess blood from Em’s privates. She took the bloodied gloves off and cleaned her hands with warm water, carried the baby covered with soft linen and place the little girl on Em’s side. Em’s heart leaped from her chest. She is so happy she can’t explain the feeling. Leopold walked slowly and closer to his wife and child. He can’t explain how he’s feeling right now, but he knows he is excited. Maxim stood on the side and is still speechless until now. He didn’t know what to feel since it’s his first time to see a baby being delivered by his own wife and the mother is his own daughter. It is a wonderful but scary sight.

Hi, baby!, Victory, oh, you’re so cute and tiny coke litre bottle, like I can carry you with one arm, haha!, Leopold whispered not wanting to wake the little angel sleeping quietly on his arms. Em is sleeping and she’s been up all night looking at Victory and crying at the same time. She didn’t realize it could be so painful but so amazing at the same time giving birth to a child. Leopold let her sleep while Victoria prepared for the baby’s bath. It’s been three days now and Maxim is also sleepy and tired waking up in the middle of the night to care for baby Victory. He remembered the time when she turned back time and came to visit them. It’s been a year and I still hear her voice telling us to protect Em and Leopold from an accident and we did. Then what now?, Maxim asked in his thoughts.

               Honey, please get me some dried linen for baby Vic , we will give her a bath. Would you like to help out?, Victoria asked smiling at Maxim’s haggard face, still sleepy from the nights they haven’t been sleeping well for their little angel. Okay, yup, ma’am.

               Gisel and Tessa cooked for the family. Though they have her girls or their maids, the couple would prepare a line-up of menus for the family to have a good and sumptuous meal every time, all the time. Gisel checked on the ingredients for the dishes they will be cooking and Tessa would write the missing ingredients to complete the courses of meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It really is time consuming and if they couldn’t buy each missing ingredients they would ask Ralf to handle the groceries. While Waldo would scout the mansion’s area and perimeters to protect the family. He is also in charge of the deliveries of supplies, may it be food, office or personal stuff needed by the family, the baby and the King. In a couple of days Maxim need to travel across Asia to give a speech for the people of India and he wanted to bring Lala, Leonardo and his security for the trip. He will be gone for several days. Waldo wanted to come along but Maxim wanted him at home to protect his family especially Em and her baby. Once everything’s secured , Waldo will follow the king to India and it’ll take three hours anyway to travel from Polynesia to India, nowadays.
