AZALEA'S POV -- The wind howls outside while the rain pelts down on the roof, hard, fast, and from every direction. "What's with this storm?" Auber asks, standing beside me in front of the window. Some of the more frail trees are swaying left to right like a swing. "I don't know." I murmur, finger drumming against my arm gently. This land is cursed with the most raging storms, and it's been years since I enjoyed a storm like this. Thunder claps, loud enough to shake the windows, and Lyra's scream echoes throughout the house like a whaling woman's scream. I smile when I hear her feet pitter patter down the steps hastily, "Mommy!" Her voice cracks, and I turn, looking at her with pity as tears stream down her cheeks. "It's just thunder, Ly-Bug."
