Roxanna listened to the rhythmic sound of beeping from the machines. She was so worried, but the bleeding had stopped. She was expecting the doctor to come through at any moment, though Kieran rushing through to her side, was a welcome surprise as well. Kieran had fear and guilt written all over his hardened expression. He pulled a chair next to the hospital bed and sat there silently and held her hand.
