Roxanna and Keiran stood by as Amelia opened what must have been a thousand different presents. Lavish expensive toys, dresses, and all kinds of things that a normal child would think of, had been unwrapped on her birthday. It was wild. She was fortunate to not have drowned in ice cold water in the middle of nowhere, but more than that she was angry that she couldn't seem to live her life happily without something trying to get in her way. She couldn't understand why someone else was so immersed in another person's life that they would actually attempt to end her life. It was something that she had difficulty wrapping her head around.
