Episode 13

Lucas’s POV

I was finally allowed to leave after being stitched up and I ran back to Charlotte’s room where only her mum was. 

She told me that Charlotte did wake up and that both her and the baby were okay but that she was back asleep.

I decided to go into her room and wait for her to wake up there.

I could see her bump very well and I was so tempted to go up to her and place my hand on her bump but I wouldn’t want to touch her without her permission.

I decided to just stare at her.

She’s really beautiful.

I’m shocked she still hasn’t gotten together with someone, any man would be so lucky to have her and not just because of her looks but her personality too.

Yeah she use to be stuck up and that’s why I just loved to bug her but apart from that she was a lot of fun.

But I messed up and I know I messed up.

I should have told her how I felt.

I should have told her I had gotten engaged.

And I shouldn’t have told her family without her permission because she will murder me.

Her brother has already done half the job and she will certainly do the other half no problem.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard the sound of moving.

I look up to see Charlotte looking back at me very intensely.

“Hey.” I said.

She didn’t answer, just kept looking at me.

“How are you feeling?” I asked.

“Fine.” She answered simply and just kept looking at me.

“You are hurt.” She finally says after staring at me for a while.

“It’s nothing.” I answered not wanting to tell her her brother did it as I wouldn’t want to come in between them more than I’ve already did.

“I know Charlie did it.” She said and this time I stared at her.

“It’s my fault he had every right.” I told her as that was what I honestly thought too.

“No matter how annoyed he is he has no right.” She argued, I didn’t say anything else about the subject as she would only argue and i don’t want to put more stress on her.

“I’m sorry.” I finally said and she just nodded understanding what I was saying sorry about.

Theres a lot to apologise for.

“What do we do now?” I asked her and she just shrugged.

Charlie’s POV 

I pissed so f*****g pissed.

My best friend and my sister.

Everyone was busy worrying about Charlotte’s and the baby’s health, I had like always wanted to be by my twin sisters side like she was always on mine.

I was about to step foot in the ambulance when Lucas announced he was the baby’s dad.

I didn’t know how to react.

I stepped back in shock and when I finally got a hold of my body and mind I realised that the ambulance was already away.

I looked around at my family to see their reactions and just like me they were all shocked.

No one had expected it, Charlotte and Lucas always hated each other and I went through hell to try fix their stupid arguments.

I turned to my father to see him near exploding in rage, the only thing keeping him back was my mother.

I then looked around to see everyone going back to their seats as that for them the news we just heard isn’t anything serious or important.

I heard a scream and turned to see where it was coming from to see it was Lucas’s fiancé throwing a tantrum.

I hadn’t even noticed one of my brothers leaving but he was the only one who seemed to be out of a trace and went to get a car and told us to get in so we could drive to the hospital.

No one spoke on the drive to the hospital.

Charlotte’s POV 

I had been planning to shout at Lucas about telling my family but when I saw the state of him i didn’t have the heart to do it.

His whole face was messed up.

I’m still so mad at him but I came to the conclusion of thought that what’s been done has been done and we have no way to go back and change anything.
