Chapter three

"Who is it?" he asks walking to the door.

" It's Nicko, can I come in?" Nicko say and I relax a bit.

Miguel looks at me asking for my approval and I nod my head.

" Sure, come in," he says and Nicko walks in all smiles, eyes closed.

" Are you dressed or should I keep my eyes closed, " he asks opening one eye. I can't help but smile.

" Don't be silly Nicko, why did you lock us in? "Miguel asks sitting back next to me on the bed.

" Am sorry guys, I just wanted you to finally confess your feelings for each other," he says and we look at him surprised.

" What are you talking about? " Miguel asks curiously.

" Come on! I've noticed how you guys behave around each other and I knew there was something there! I wasn't just going to sit by and let you throw your love away! "

" Is it that obvious?" I ask hoping he was the only one that noticed.

" No... It's not that obvious but you know me. I notice everything around me, even the smallest! You two were taking too long to confess your feelings and when I saw Fabiola walking in, I knew it was now or never ! I did what I had to do, " he says shrugging his shoulders, and sits in between us. " I hope you two cowards have already said what you had to say? "

" We are not Cowards! and yes Fabi is my girlfriend now, " Miguel says smiling at me.

" Finally! Welcome to the family Fabiola."

" Thank you Nicko, but am only his girlfriend not his wife."

" To me, that's one and the same," Nicko says his eyes switching to Miguel. " I really hope you don't take too long Proposing, or I'll do that for you."

" Okay you clown! you can leave now, we have unfinished business here!" Miguel says dragging him off the bed.

" Am sorry big brother, but you'll have to countinue your business later. Mum is awake, and she told me she wants to talk to you. That's why I had to interrupt you, she'll be here soon. "

Am off the bed as soon as Nicko is done talking.

" Okay," can you please excuse us I need to talk to Fabiola for a second.

" Sure, " Nicko says walking out.

" I think we should just tell my mum we are together. I've been waiting so long for this, and i don't want to hide my relationship with you from anyone. I want everyone to know you are mine and forever will be, " he says taking my hand.

" No.. I don't think now is the right time yet. "

Sincerely speaking, am afraid that his mum will not accept us. He's already leaving and I want the last days we have together to be magical and peaceful.

" Okay..I won't rush You, but it has to be soon. "

" Sure, I have to go now before she finds me here," I say walking towards the door, but he grabs my waist smashing me to him.

" You can't just leave like that, " he say kissing me hard!

I kiss him back with the same intensity, and get lost in the kiss.

F*ck!

His kisses are mind blowing !!

" Guys.. get off each other! She's coming!" Nicko says budging in the room.

" I'll see you later, " Miguel say kissing my forehead and I nod walking away.

I go down stairs, my body still on fire from the kiss! I still can't believe everything that just happened!

My Miguel loves me, and is finally mine! And it's not a dream!

" What took you so long, and why are all smiles ?" Mum asks as soon as i walk in the kitchen.

" Uumh... Am just happy mum. Anyway, Miguel needed my help with something, and that's why I took so long, am sorry ."

" It's okay.. Come and have breakfast with me, " she says and I do as am told.

I help mum out with the dishes after we are done with breakfast and I go get ready for my job hunt.

On my way out of the house, I meet Willy who hugs me joyfully. He's one of the drivers and we have a great relationship!

He's like a big brother to me.

" Hi gorgeous, going out?" He asks pulling back from the hug.

" Yeah.. I need a job badly! "

" Don't worry ,you'll find one soon. "

" Hi Fabi... It's nice to see you, " A voice says and we turn to look.

Arghh!!

It's Matt!

I hate this guy!

He's Miguel's Cousin and he's been after me for a while now.

He and his cousins don't get along much, and I think it's because of how arrogant and aggressive he is.

He only gets along with Mrs Christina and that's not surprising because they are birds of the same feather.

He's just too stubborn and an egomaniac, who never takes no for an answer.

He came into my room just last week and forcefully tried to kiss me but I slapped him so hard across the face, and that kind of got him to his senses.

That is if he has any!

He is such an asshole!

" I have to go Willy.. See you when I get back, " I say walking past Matt.

" Don't pretend like you don't see me, " Matt says falling into step with me. " I know you are mad at me for what I did and am sorry, I was not in my right mind. "

" You think?! " I say still walking.

" Come on Fabi! I am sincerely sorry ."

" Please leave me alone! I don't care if you are sorry or not, just stay away from me!" I say increasing my pace.

" Please just listen to me, " he say about to grab my hand.

" Don't touch me!" I say angrily. " Why can't you get that I want nothing to do with you! I don't and will never want to be with you! "

" What is there not to like about me? Am a f*cking millionaire and I can give you and your mum the kind of life you deserve. I can treat you like a queen if you let me."

" Not every girl is gold digger Matt, and I don't need a man to treat me like a queen! I can do that all by myself ! And one more thing, I'd rather die poor than be with you! "

He gets agitated when I say that, and he's about to grab my waist but suddenly stops, looking at something in the house.

I turn to where his eyes are glued too, and see Miguel on the balcony with his mum. They are both staring at us, and I can tell Miguel is kind of pissed off.

How long have they been watching us?

Am sure Miguel is going to ask for an explanation later.

I decide not to think too much and walk away.

I roam all over the city, but manage to get nothing!

Am actually looking for any job as long as it pays but looks like no one is hiring .

After hours of exhaustion, I have no choice but to go back home.

I really hope to get a job soon because there's no way am giving up on college!

It is the only way i have of getting a good job and giving my mum the kind of life she deserves.

I head straight to the shower, after I get home, and afterwards go find mum. She might need my help with something.

I find her in the kitchen as usual, busy with lunch.

" Hi mum."

" I didn't know you are back already. How was the search?"

" Not good. "

" Don't worry, tomorrow is another day. "

" Sure.. Can I help you with anything? "

" No.. You must be tired. Just go and get some rest. "

" No mum, am fine."

"Okay.. Help me with the veggies then. "

" Sure ."

Almost an hour later we are done ,and I help mum and Salma set the table.

" Thanks for you help honey. "

"Anytime Mum.. I'll be on the beach if you need me,."

" Okay."

The house is really close to the beach and, It's my favorite place especially when am stressed out. It gives me the peace of mind I need!

It's always very refreshing, and relaxing, especially the fresh air,and the breeze.

" Hi there gorgeous! need company, " I hear a voice and I turn to look.

Matt!!

" Are you following me?! I thought I asked you to live me alone! "

" I wasn't following you. I was just minding my own business when I saw you, I swear. "

" Yeah right! " I say as I walk away from him.

" Why can't you just love me?" he asks following me.

" And why can't you just leave me alone! "

" You are only a f*****g servant and am doing you a favour trying to give you a good life here! " he says almost shouting.

" Thank you Matt, but am good with my life, the way it is! "

" Okay.. Let's see if you'll be good with it after am done with you! No one rejects me Fabiola!" he says Storming off angrily.

Did he just threaten me?

What a jerk!

If he thinks am scared of him, he's got another thing coming!
