We were nearing the middle of September, when Mrs C had come back and made my life ten times easier.  She looked relaxed and ready to get tuck back in.  I don't know how long she'd be relaxed though.  Her short, graying blonde hair was cropped a bit more and her bright blue eyes had a special twinkle.  I watched from the deck as she kept the girls occupied with paints and big sheets of paper on the lawn.  She'd brought them a big box of art supplies and matching plastic aprons.  They were so happy to have her back.  They fondly referred to her as Nanny C.  Cara particularly could not get enough of her.
