She was running on the walkway, wondering what was actually happening.
With her bags in her hands, she was wondering how she was going to be safe.
She heard a screeching sound and immediately she turned to look out for what was happening just then she found out she was captured, the car that halted in front of her was the same car that she saw at the scene of the burning house.
They pointed a gun at her and she was asked to get in.
She got in because there was no better option for her at the time.
She got in the car and she was masked and cuffed.
She could feel her whole body shaking at the time.
*****
Her sister saw the calls and started calling Grace but she wasn't picking up, she hoped everything was fine.
The bad guys carrying Grace heard her phone ringing and took it.
She was put in an empty room together with her luggage.
They made her unconscious, and a few hours later she regained consciousness.
She was still cuffed but the mask was removed.
Her heart kept pounding, she wondered what they wanted to do with her, she waited for what would come for her.
The room where she was kept had a small window, where she could see the weather of the Day. She managed to get up and look through the window. It was the highest floor of a very tall building, even if she shouted, someone would not hear.
She had never felt this frustrated and helpless her whole life.
She began starving and checked if there was anything she would eat but she didn't see.
She cried but no one heard, the day turned to night, and she slept off.
She woke up in the same spot, with no food, and no water, she was losing strength and couldn't even get up, she stayed in one spot where she was and didn't move.
The day turned to night, she became weaker with each passing hour.
The night turned to Day, she knew that the people who kept her wanted to starve her to death.
Tears were falling down her eyes, she couldn't even talk.
She started praying in her mind.
She closed her eyes.
Suddenly.
She heard the sound of keys jingling, and the next thing the door was opened.
She was weak but she saw clearly that the guy was a masked man just like the one that carried her the previous night.
He came forth and tied her eyes, carrying her and her luggage.
When he put her in the car, he uncovered her eyes and gave her food.
She thanked him but he didn't say anything to her, he was still masked, and Grace didn't see his face.
He dropped her on the road, giving her one thousand dollars.
He didn't say a word, till she got out of the car.
He was the only one who was in the car.
Grace kept wondering who he was, but the most important was that she was free and she didn't die.
But there was one thing, he didn't give her her phone.
But that didn't matter….
She had to get out of that place.

There is a knock on the door, Noah, Grandma Anna, and Danielle look at the door.
Danielle gets it.
"Oh my goodness, you're alright," Danielle said, hugging Grace who didn't know what she felt like.
"Is it Grace?" Grandma Anna asks.
"Yes, it's her," Danielle says, stepping out of the way so Grandma can see Grace.
"Oh, my darling, come here," Grandma hugs Grace.
"Are you alright? What happened we were scared something happened, we already told the police," Grandma said to Grace holding her cheek with both hands and looking into her eyes.
"I'm okay, I just need to rest," Grace says standing on her feet.
Danielle picks up Grace's bag, while Grace heads inside the room.
She notices something strange, Noah was lying on the sofa.
And he was covered in a blanket, his face looked pale.
And for the first time he talked to Grace, sounding nice, he said "Welcome," Grace didn't reply to him.
When Grace got inside the room, she couldn't resist the urge to ask questions.
"What's wrong with Noah?"
"Oh, he's ill, he hasn't left the house since you traveled, but he's on meds."
"Oh, really?"
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing I'm just making sure I'm not dreaming,"
Grace tried not to shake off the feeling that she hated Noah because of one word "Welcome"
"How did everything go? How's Mum and Dad?"
Grace looked up at her sister.
"Mom and Dad are dead," Grace said with a straight-face, bold voice.
Danielle shouted and Grace held her mouth.
The shout drew the attention of people in the living room.
"That's not even the problem, we are not even safe."
"What do you mean? What happened?"
"I got to New York and went straight to the hospital where mom was, it got late and I asked Dad to go home so he could rest properly, and I'll watch over mom, then he'll come the next morning"
"He called me when he got home, after a few minutes I slept off, and then my phone rang, I picked it was Dad, they were shooting him and he was screaming, I asked them why they were shooting, but no one spoke all I could hear was his voice"
"I Became afraid and rushed home to see if I could save Dad, I was a few steps away when our house caught fire"
Tears were already running down Danielle's eyes.
"I went back to the hospital to see Mom, and before I got there she was shot in the head, I didn't know who was doing things things but one thing was sure whoever was doing it was someone who knew us properly, I took my things trying to escape, while I was running I got kidnapped, I was kept in an empty room, no food, no water, no help, those days were the worst days of my life."
"I had already given up, I was waiting for my last breath, when a man that looked like the same people that kidnapped me, came in and saved me he gave me a thousand dollars, I didn't see his face but I would like to thank him, because he is an angel, I pray I see him one day."
Grandma Anna and Noah were eavesdropping.
"Right now, we just have to keep our heads low, I don't think I'll be going to New York ever again it's not safe for us,"
Grace looks at the door and makes eye contact with Grandma Anna, and then she comes in.
"Sorry my Dear, thank God you're safe,"
"I never had to see them last time. We didn't make peace, but I pray they forgive me. Do you think we should tell my husband? You know he's an FBI agent, right?" Danielle says, tears in her eyes and her hand on her chest.
"Yes, I know, when he comes back we'll tell him," Grace said.
"Oh my goodness! My Job?" Grace exclaims as she remembers her Job.
