Graeme returned home instead of going back to his office. The long drive had a draining effect on him, and by the time he was home, he needed to sleep. He showered and changed out of his clothes before heading into his bedroom to rest. Putting his phone on do not disturb, he got under his bed covers, intending to rest. Instead of using the valuable time to rest, his mind lingered on the events of the day. His mother’s words had been awful and unfair to him, but he knew she had made up her mind. Unless he gave in to he her demands, she wouldn’t budge. She was obstinate like that. Sighing, Graeme thought about Will. The little boy was adorable. His cheerfulness was a breath of fresh air, one he desperately needed. Before his mind could move to the boy’s mother, Graeme pushed it aside
