16Chapter Sixteen After a glance down at Kellan, Meikah again looked at the spirits awaiting her on the island. Several of them had drawn weapons. There was no way they could be back before sunrise. What was Isha going to say when she found her missing? “We’re not staying here all morning,” Neven muttered. “We’ve got better things to do.” He rubbed his hand across his arm, glancing towards the island. “Far better things to do.” Meikah climbed over the side and sat at the front of the rowboat on the timber seat.
