“Are you ladies finished?” Merlin stood by the entrance of the gym.
“Hi Auntie”, Kalis waved with a big grin.
“Yes Mother”, Laura smiled.
Báine took a step forward and Merlin noticed her limp. “I see today was a bit strenuous”, she smiled sympathetically with Báine.
“That's an understatement”, Báine's laugh ended in a gasp.
“Oh dear”, Merlin crossed to her. Her hand rested on Báine's back and a cool feeling passed from where Merlin touched her. The ache's subsided to the point that they were manageable.
“Oh thank you”, Báine took a deep breath. Wouldn't this be the first time she's been conscious when she's healed?
