Chapter 29 Following

---Quinton's POV---

We follow the Alpha's car that's holding Evelyn in it for a while, down this long dark road.. it's late at night or early morning however you want to look at it.. but either way it's pitch dark out and I have no idea where we are really at.. I have never been to this part of the state and that seems to worry myself because I can't calm my heart or mind at that thought alone.

We have not traveled too long but long enough to really start getting impatient with the situation, just wanting to get to their pack.. like now.. Where the hell does this guy even live? I just wish we would get to our destination so I can't try to figure out the next step.

We stay with our car for this part of the mission and a good amount behind him so he doesn't think anything suspicious about our vehicle.. but it does help us blend in, that there still are a couple more cars behind us but not many.. they have slowly gone their seperate ways on this long road.

We watch the target vehicle start to slow down, but we are getting closer because of the unexpected speed change, so we have to pass the car up as it turns off and driving down this next long road looking like a driveway.. You can see a big house farther down the way but of course we can also see guards and border patrol already.. this isn't going to be easy.. Shane keeps driving us a little farther down until we find a place to pull over to hide our car as we try to figure out what we are going to do to even try to get inside.

Luckily for us it's late at night so everyone should be asleep besides the Alpha and his guards plus the border patrol.. but that still is a lot to deal with.. Especially just for 3 wolves.

"Ok so I say we stick together and slowly make our way past the guards and into the house to try to figure out where they have her.." Shane instructs us as Evan and I nod in response.

"Ok that sounds good for us.. but he would either have her in their cells to hold her until he finds a place for her, because that's where I was held more times than not.. especially for discipline because it's harder to hear any of that from down there.. but there was a time or two I was held in the bedroom.. but not that often honestly.. I fought back a lot.. so I automatically got put into the cells. With your lady already fighting him I would bet money she would be down there so we should stop there first then go up to the bedroom if she is not there.. thats if we can find it.. but that should be our last resort." Celine states to us as we nod except for Shane he is shaking his head.

"There's no way you're coming out with us baby.. you have to stay here.. your purpose in this mission was to help us around the auction and you did that, so now you need to stay here and stay in the driver's seat just in case we need to take off." Shane explains to her as she scoffs and crosses her arms over her chest in a huff.

"But.. I could.. I don't know.." She tries to defend her case of why she should go but it obviously doesn't work because he has continued to just shake his head at her. She rolls her eyes and looks away from him. He is in trouble now but I think they will need a minute.

"We will be outside getting ready and you can talk in here." I say to Shane as I pat his shoulder before opening the door and getting out with Evan right behind me. We shut the door as we hear muffled yelling and arguing coming from inside the car.. I can't tell what they are saying but it doesn't sound good.. It sounds like Celine is madder than we thought.

"I figure we should just travel in wolf form around the property.. it should be the fastest and most hidden way of doing things." I explain to Evan as he nods his head at my idea. We hear the car door opening with Shane getting out. His eyes are wide but he doesn't say anything to us, just letting out a deep breathe.

"You going to be sleeping on the couch once we get back Alpha?" I ask him playfully as he glares at me while quickly replying back. "She is not happy I'm not letting her go.. but there is no way I would let her go back to that hell she just got out of.. so I did tell her if anything goes wrong she has to drive away and tell mother." He explains to us but I understand he just wants to make sure his mate will be alright.. nothing wrong with that. I would probably do the same.

"Ok so I figured we could just go in wolf form the whole way until we at least get inside and maybe downstairs once we figure out where it is at." I explain to him as he nods agreeing with me. "Yeah we are stealthier and faster in wolf form anyways.. so that's probably the best." Shane replies as we hear the car door opening behind us. Shane flips around as Celine puts her hands up in surrender while rolling her eyes at him, as she states. "I'm just going to the driver's side.. calm down." She starts walking past him in a huff obviously still mad at him but he doesn't take that. I watch him grab her by the hand and pulling her body into his as he says, "My love I'm not doing this because I don't want you with me.. I'm doing this because I don't want you in there again after you just got out. I will do anything to make sure that never happens to you again.. and letting you go in there goes against all of that.. I love you Cee.. you know that.. please don't be mad at me.. please I just need to know you're not hating me so I can go into this mission with an open mind, not being distracted." He begs her softly but enough that we can still hear it.

"I'm not mad at you I understand.. I just don't want to do anything without you.. what if something happens to you? I can't lose you!" She says sadly to him as he states with so much confidence in his words.

"I will always be with you.. no matter what happens here or even in the future, I will always fight my way back to you.. I can't live without you." He says so sweetly making any man look bad next to him. He must be the best mate ever and I'm over here taking notes of the tips for when I finally get a mate.

"Ok.. I love you Shane.. please come back to me." She says grabbing his face and kissing his lips so passionately. I have never been apart of anything like that. I get a tinge of jealousy through my body at that romantic sight. I have waited for so long to have something like that, so to have to see it makes me crave for just that touch.

They break their kiss as he says into her lips. "I will use every breathe I have in me to get to you until my last I promise.. please stay here, just in case. Like I said if anything goes wrong you go to my mother and tell her.. where we are at and everything you understand me?"

She nods her head as she turns around to get in on the driver's side. The three of us start stripping down so we don't rip our clothing up. We shift without hesitation because we can at least still talk through our wolves mindlink to each other.

Shane is going to take the lead with this, like he normally does with being the stand-in Alpha until our father gets back. He crouches down as we follow suit.

"Ok let's go off to the left because I can see the border patrol to the right and lots of trees to the left of the pack house.. I think that's our best bet to hide and sneak past." Shane instructs as we nod at him and he starts pushing through the trees and bushes we are hiding behind. We go one after the other keeping up, with him as our eyes ping back and forth at our surroundings.

The stress is high tonight but we have been through worse.. I know we can do this because we work well together and we are all skilled.. the only thing is not how to get in, but how are we getting out.. that's what I'm worried about but like I said we have been through worse in battle so I'm sure we can figure something out. We stop in a whole mess of trees some dead some alive but so much that it's easy to hide in.

"Ok let's cross across this open part of the lawn, one by one, but make our way behind that tree by the shed." He instructs as we say in unison, "Yes Alpha." Shane takes off at that word across the lawn like a shadow in the night with his pitch black fur.

I have the same fur too but Evan has dark gray.. I hope it's enough to keep him unnoticed. I let him go next as he takes off, being a little more noticeable but as far as I can tell no one had seen him.

I take off next so quickly going from zero to 60, at least in my head. I bolt across the lawn feeling the air run through my hair. I'm one of the fastest in my pack and running in my wolf form is one of my favorite things to do. Tyberious is an amazing wolf especially for missions like this.. I wouldn't trust something like this to anyone else.

We can see some men coming around the corner but they are talking so I dive under the tree just sliding out of view. They both stop and take a look around sniffing here and there but luckily they don't hear or smell me.

"Good Job Ty." I reassure him because that was hard to do successfully. "Ok we need to get around this corner unseen and as quickly as we can.. I think we need to train it.. but I don't know what's over there.. I'm hoping a back door that's not locked, but we will see what happens when we get over there." Shane informs us as we both nod at him. "Let's try then." I reply to him as he nods, crouching down, getting ready to bolt.. We do the same just waiting in anticipation for our sign to run.

He creeps out about ready to stick his nose out to look around the corner. Until he jumps back and freezing in place as we watch a couple wolf border patrol talking and walking around, flashing their flashlights across the way. Luckily for us that's where they are looking and keeping their attention away from the area we are in. They keep walking past as, I watch Shane peak his head around quickly then back behind the wall.. He let's out a breath as he nods and I nod with him.

He zips around the corner and right up against the edge. Brushing his fur to the wall since he is right up against it. We take his lead, follow right in tow like a train and as quickly as we can to the back door. We all shift instantly as he goes to open the door and yes, it is unlocked.
