Chapter Twenty-Four I left Mikhail Lem’s place the same way I had arrived there; blindfolded and in the back of an unfamiliar car. Neither of the men up front spoke as they delivered me back to my rental. When they dropped me off and I watched them make their exit from the parking lot, I found it hard to believe that my meeting with the enigmatic Mickey Lem had gone so well and without a threat to my life.
