Chapter Thirty-Four I hesitated. The man who had killed my family was one floor below me; sitting in a holding cell with no idea I was coming to see him. It was almost too much. The weight of expectation crushed me. How would I react? Would I end up in another cell myself? Did I care about the ramifications after all this time chasing him? I grabbed a cup of coffee from the break room and visited my makeshift office one last time to make sure I hadn’t left anything behind. My heart raced. I knew I was stalling. Nervous, palms sweating.
