“That’s just the truth Lynn. Riggs is my boyfriend, and yes we went out on a date,” I say to her and she sighs. I shrug and she keeps looking at me.
“So..” she says and I wonder what she's up to. What else does she want to hear from me? Oh my gosh. She's so annoying.
She continues to stare and I know we are just not going anywhere or doing anything else if I don't give her all the answers that she wants.
“What?” I ask and she speaks.
“What about the reason you are leaving town, and why you didn't think it was a good idea to tell me. I mean that must have been your reason, right. Lynn can't know about this, I have to disappear without telling her, she has to completely remain in the dark, having no idea where I've gone to. That must have been your thoughts, at least, can I know why?”
