I lay on my bed, gently, waiting for the signal. My eyes are closed, my breath catching. I did not pack up anything. I'm leaving my belongings, including my clothes back here as Dad and Mom insisted. They believe it could slow uncle Matt and I down. They've made arrangements for me to replace every single thing I'm leaving behind. This is the time we all have been waiting for.
